Sleeplessness of my son

My son is almost 14 years old and has trouble sleeping at night and sometimes is up until 2 am then next morning is very difficult to waken.
Has anyone out there found this to be a problem.

Hi, I was curious as to whether or not your son has had any sleep studies? If not, ask his doctor to order one, it can make all the difference in the world.

I use to have trouble falling asleep also. After my test, I found out that I have sleep apnea. That helped with being able to sleep at night, but I still had trouble falling asleep. I now take 20 mgs of Paxil in the morning to calm down the anxiety that was caused by all the meds that I've taken for my epilepsy. I still take meds for my epilepsy. My body is now relaxed at night and I sleep better. I'm more refreshed in the morning when I get up because I sleep through the night now.
