Default Narcotics & teeth problems

Hi, everybody:

I read in various forums that narcotic painkillers can cause teeth problems, such as teeth decay and loss. Does this just apply to fentanyl lollypops (Actiq) because they are sweet, candy-like medical lollypops, or does this apply to ALL narcotic painkillers, in patch, tablet, or capsule form? If it applies to all narcotic painkillers, what is(are) the reason(s) for this and what do they exactly do to teeth?

Thanks for your information.
