Note Eva Cassidy

I am sad to say I'd never heard of Eva Cassidy until this past week when my neighbour told me about her. My neighbour is from New Zealand and sings and plays acoustic guitar. I'd heard her singing and she does it beautifully. So we had this short conversation outside my place and she mentioned Eva Cassidy. Well...

I'm somewhat speechless. This woman's voice was so beautiful. It shows the beauty she had within. Just an acoustic guitar and her amazing voice. Incredible. A gift.

Oh, yes! We have a CD of hers!

She used to be an outdoor painter as a second livelihood.

She unfortunately developed Melanoma which was very aggressive and so she succumbed young!

She put alot of feeling into her songs. A rare talented soul.

I read about her dying so young. So very sad.
I can't believe I've never heard her sing before this week.

She never made it the "main stream". She did alot of small clubs, etc.

We heard her on an eclectic radio station my hubby played in the car that came from Canada in the afternoon. It had all sorts of neat music on that show!

This is his biography:

His show was always entertaining with very eclectic and sometimes amusing even, pieces.

Thank heavens for the internet, eh?

Your ipod? You mean you have one of those hand held "things" that young people have?

I have this week received Eva Cassidy on CD from a very dear friend. She's incredible and so is my friend.
