Hi Jo!

I suppose I could start a thread about dental care. I thought it might be more accessible if it were an actual forum. I'll give it some thought.

Thanks!!

Hi Bryanna, and welcome to NeuroTalk!

I see I'm a little late in welcoming you and that you've already been pointed in good directions, so I'll just say that this is a super great place to hang out with (as you can tell) lots of friendly and helpful people.

Hi Bryanna,
I'm a newbee at this. Just joined and really don't even know how to do posts but clicking on "reply" brought up a screen that I could enter a post on.
I initially entered a post on the dental site and got a reply from Ginnee who suggested I contact you.
I have a broken molar on my lower left jaw.The area received high radiation 12 years ago to treat base of tongue squamous cell cancer at Sloan Memorial Cancer Center. They told me that if I ever needed an extraction to come to them.
Now that I do, they, after having one of there oral surgeons look at it, tell me that it can't be extracted since it won't heal.
I got an strep septisemia infection last fall, they think through the broken tooth, that landed me in the hospital for 10 days and I presently have an infection in my jaw below the broken tooth that is being treated with clindamycin 150mg 4 times a day,
I welcome your thoughts on what steps I should look at taking next.
