Crazy emotions

I find myself crying over commercials, if I didnt know better I would say I was pregnant, no worries I'm not!!!!!

Is this the MG? Or should I bring it up with my doc?

I had my baby at the doctor for the flu and I find myself crying for no real good reason.......I think the doc was very concerned with it but I brushed it off not knowing where it was coming from or why?

I'm sorry, I'm getting everyone's stories mixed up...but Kimmy, what's up with your thyroid? Have you been tested for Graves disease? A lot of people who have MG also have hyperthyroidism. That'll make you cry.

I do have graves disease! I was given radioactive iodine in January, it is still in the process of going hypo, it's getting close! I see my doc tomorrow to find out where we are at with it.

I find it hard to even explain why I'm crying cause its for no reason at all!

How old is the baby? Sometimes the post pregnancy hormones fluctuate wildly until your body settles down and this can go on for about 6 to 8 months post delivery. Are your MG symprtoms stable or fluctuating? If you get no anwers it might be time to see your OB and have a progesterone level drawn. If you are seeing an endocrinologist that is good and he might also take this into consideration. If you start having other emotional swings it might definitely be time to think about postpartum issues - these problems don't magically stop the day you deliver and with your whole metabolic and immune system wanting to do it's own thing you need to be more careful than most new Moms about postpartum depression. Take care and get well.

I am 12 months postpartum so yes you are right it could be that! I was in today to see my GP and my thyroid levels have gone hypo, they were 6.5 last month and they are 21.5 right now, she started me on Synthroid 0.05mg.

Most days I feel like I am stable and then one bad day out of no where, it's so unpredictable.

I will be having a Thymectomy within the next 4 weeks, It will be a Thoroscopic Thymectomy, and I'm praying that I will have good results. Thanks
