Ann Romney's MS

1) unfortunately i think people will look at her and say 'oh, she has ms and is fine!' i heard her say before that her disease is in 'remission'. I personally do not believe there is a "remission" phase of the disease. To me it gives the wrong impression.

2) i don't think she will bring her bad times to the forefront if she does end up in the white house.
I think the whitehouse would keep a low key on it so as not to make the leader of the free world appear (or project) that he is worried and preoccupied with the health of his wife. I just don't think the white house will allow him to appear to the public as anything but 100% concerned about the job.

I may be wrong.....but i don't think so. Unless she is obviously affected.....(loses some eyesight or her legs or balance etc....)we won't see it.

Lol I grew up in a family where if you weren't hucking up a lung you went to school and didn't dare complain. In hindsight I guess it was good training for this mess that is MS.

I can't help but feel that Mitt is being selfish to put her through this when he's got to know it WILL have a detrimental effect on her health. I freak out and stress out to the point of shutting down if my DH wants to invite friends over for dinner! I can't imagine the stress that poor woman is under.

Mine is on my left side more often.

I hear she uses "traditional meds and other remedies." I dont think anyone is forcing her to do what she is doing. I think she has many options, and not being front and center is one of them.

We all have something going on. I am proud of her for standing up, and doing what she needs to do without whining, sobbing or crying about how hard this is for her. She talks about her blessings, and how grateful she is for all of the help and assistance she has received. Truly blessed I believe is how she phrased it. I am just glad someone in the public eye is no longer shrugging it off saying they have MS, but lets talk about the rose garden, or I limp today because I am struggling, but lets talk about the economy. She has been candid with some answers, and I am grateful for any light folks can shed on this disease, by showing up in public.

I'm a believer in the "less is more" theory. People who talk about nothing but their challenges get to be offensive after a while. I think she'll bring more to the cause just because she's not "in your face" with it. KWIM.....there's always a little question left hanging about it.....and maybe it'll force alot of people to do a little research on their own about it.

HeHe, thanks Wiz. I like Ann Romney, but I don't like her husband. I don't like that he allows her to wear herself out serving his needs..grrrr.
