Thank you both and boy am I am relieved! I could cover for sz but not for migraines... I didn't want to interrupt things right now.

Gosh I am so tired right now...the caffeine is giving out....

No sooner home from the appointment and the shopping center than the carpenter shows up! .... Clean this clear that etc etc... i'm bushwhacked and I didn't even get near those fab drinks Bizi gets to have in that place in N. Fl. you guys go for your anniversary with the tiki huts.... sigh.

There oughtta be a law!!! One should only be able to get bushwhacked if allowed to have at least one bushwhacker (before or after, i'm not picky about that part)!

Wow Waves,
I am glad it all worked out, that is frustrating to forget a refill. I have to use a calendar anymore cause the mind is full of holes and black space anymore.
You mentioned about the meds in packs, which I wondered about. My new Part D med plan I use Humana Walmart. When I picked up my thyroid and cholesterol meds they were in the packs. Concerned me that they came from Korea and had foreign fillers not regulated or something.
At least I know this is just the packaging method.

Thanks to your med post about following up on your needs, I am also taking the time to get mine done too. Eyes Monday, MRI needs to be scheduled for head and neck. Saw the physitrist and neuro this week. blood work and urine are done.

Now need to get to gyn and mamagram asap too.

I only started this thread because I was freaking about running out of gabapentin, that's all.

Regarding meds from the pharmacy here though, there is no "packaging method" insofar as pharmacies here do not do packaging. The originating pharmaceutical firms package the meds and supply them to the pharmacies that way (and only that way). All meds from all pharmacies come in original packages with manufacturer insert.

I am not currently in the US so of course what happens here doesn't apply to you. I am afraid I am clueless as to Humana Walmart's procedures - do please check with them if you have any concerns about origin or handling of your medications!

Hey there thanks Donna! I am still feeling waves of relief ... Lately I've been having only about a 1 week per cycle "natural" reprieve from migraines - and I would have been dropping off steep on the gabapentin right when i would typically have a run of migraines, talk about bad timing. well let's hope this whole gabapentin thing works, anyway. I have my fingers crossed your extra Topamax will do the job for you too.

ok so, i'm scrabbling in my med drawer... trying to figure out if i've got an extra something or other or not... and what do you think i found....

....... this is 2 days ago mind you .... after getting my brand new prescription for 400's filled...


i found a brand new never opened package of 300's. well cool. at least if i need them they are there. but if i'd just checked my drawer before panicking over whether the pharmacy would grace me a pack sans-script, racking my brains over where i might have put the last valid script, dumping out junk filled files trying to find that, etc etc up half the night and before a morning appointment too... *freaking OUT* ...

i would not have had to go to the pharmacy and grovel. (i blew my one-time grovel-bonus!!! )

sigh.

Dear Waves,

Wooah! You had what turned out to be a lot of unnecessary excitement over the 'script.

(I am reminded of an "Unnecessary Roughness" foul the referees have as an option in football.)

It would help if we kept all our meds in one place. Occasionally I run across a bottle that is in a logical place but not really a place I would think to look if I were on a major crusade to find something I absolutely had to have.
