Happy Sunday, Everyone!

Debbie - Sorry to hear about your DS. That must be so stressful on all of you. Hang in there.

B2Y - I love the hummies!!! We have a lot of them around here and I love watching them. Wishing your DH good luck today and tomorrow as well as you.

I haven't been up to much today. Taking it easy because I have a b-day party to go to this afternoon. I spent some time this morning working on a drawing and that's been the highlight of my day.

Have a good day Everyone!

Default Hi Blessings

I will keep Mr. Blessings in my prayers. Nobody likes going through that at all! I know today, he may be crabby, I sure was when I was going through the prep. My housemate has to have this done too. fun fun fun. He will be in my prayers tonight and tomorrow through his proceedure. Take care, ginnie

How's the DH doing, B2Y? Hope it all went well today and he's resting tonight.

It's rainy here this afternoon and some areas are getting t-storms. That time of year, I suppose.......

I have finally scheduled my cleaning lady to come in once a month.....the second Wednesday of every month.......to clean my house. I'm tired of trying to do it all myself and feel defeated and giving up each time. You'd think that just one person living alone would not require alot of cleaning. But when there are 3 cats that share your home - or rather I share their home - it needs it. So.....I finally bit the bullet and scheduled it as an ongoing thing.

There's so much I wish I could still do but feel very grateful for the help I have.

I have been fighting a cold since Friday. Leaving on Wednesday for Ohio. I probably won't be checking in a whole lot for the next few weeks. I am going to be gone for about 10 days and then i am bringing my mom back with me. She is staying until May 29th.

Well, I've been worthless today--too bad that when those days happen I can't just say "oh well" and consider it a day off! I have to ruin it by smacking myself over the head with "shoulds" all day.

Mr. B's procedure went fine yesterday (easy for ME to say). I was a hurtin' unit after 3 and a half hours of sitting in waiting room chairs and standing on hard floors. But it's pretty hard to make a "poor me" complaint to someone who just had a colonoscopy! So I'll complain to you guys instead.

I have a cat right at my elbow. One cat comes when we call her name, the other one comes when she hears me peel a string cheese. I'd better give her a piece or she'll start running her claws through my hairs. Eeeeee, that gives me the willies.

I need to make an appointment to get my summer tires on. Yes, it's past time, even in Vermont--I deliberately wait until after the first of May so I can get it inspected at the same time. I need to JUST DO IT!!!

Afternoon all...

Hope everything checks out okay with DH, B2Y...

whew...so tired! Got two large trash bags of clothing together for charity pick up tomorrow...got rid of a huge bag of inlaws' clothing that has been sitting here for 7 months

my blood pressure has been in the 80s/40s range the last couple of weeks...no wonder I am so tired!! The cardiologist doesn't seem too concerned about any of the sxs...but DH is so worried...keeps telling me to call them, but they just told me last week to wait til I see the electrical guy in 3 weeks...

Saw my neuro for a check up yesterday. He is taking me off of zanaflex in case that's causing this bp thing. He doesn't think it is, but he'd like me to try it anyway. Also suggested calling the urogynecologist and asking for botox injections in the bladder instead of the meds. Says that it's more effective, and the meds could be affecting heart stuff as well...gave me a script for clonazipam for pain from spasms in case it gets bad again.

Hope all are well here...have a good evening...

Hi Everyone!

Barb - I hope you have a great trip and a good visit with your mom. Check in when you can.

B2Y - Complain away. I'm sure DD20 felt the same way as you but didn't complain. I hope the results of your DH procedure is good.

Debbie - Low bp can make you tired and the Zanaflex can lower your bp. In fact, I think a lot of the muscle relaxants can. I did learn from the nurse who gave me my anesthesia that staying hydrated can help your blood pressure stay up. So make sure you are drinking enough fluids, not just water, but fluids with electrolytes in them as well.

I spent part of yesterday painting and the other part visiting with DD21. She came over to visit and stayed for dinner. We had a great time and it was good to see her. I don't get to see her that often as she is so busy with work and school.

For some reason, I had insomnia last night. I could not sleep at all, even after taking my lorazepam. I was up until 2:30 a.m. It is very rare that this happens but the past couple of nights have been like that. So, a good nap is in order for today (I didn't get one yesterday) and I plan on going to bed early and take my lorazepam earlier in the evening.

I hope you all have a great day!

Default Hello tkrik and all

I know too well how hard it can be to sleep. I take the same medication as you do, and sometimes, well it just doesn't work. I have a question for this thread, I was given a new medication to try called ambien. Has any one tired this? Years and years ago I took some kind of med. like that, I don't remember now. Has anyone taken it, or had an alergic reaction to it? The literature said something about swollen tongue, throat etc. I have had that shock from bee stings. I am a little hesitant about trying it.My doctor didn't think I would have any trouble, I am just a little cautious. Any feed back I would appreciate. ginnie

Hi everyone...gorgeous day here

T, this morning my bp was through the roof high...but I only got about 3 hours of sleep due to pain from spasms, and being stressed by DS36's situation...both could definitely contribute, I think. Plus you're right about not drinking enough fluids. I bought some coconut water, since that's the new "in" thing for electrolytes...haven't tried it yet though...

I am definitely going to take the clonazipam before bed tonight...I can't deal with this pain...

Ginnie, Ambien is a very dangerous drug. My old pcp gave me one-yes one-tablet to take on the plane ride home from hawaii a few years ago. he told me it is extremely addictive. I had hallucinations on the plane from it and wanted to open the door and jump out I will NEVER take it again...
