Hi all...happy Tuesday!

Barb, glad to hear you're making plans to get out and about! That's what retirement should be...not waiting any more to live life as fully as possible.
And swimming is the best exercise for us MSers...it might be worth going to the Y in the next town...they might have a class for people with stuff going on like us...

I am wearing a 30 day heart monitor that is an event monitor...whenever I feel an irregular heartbeat I have to push a button, then call up the monitoring center and put a land line phone on the device so it can transmit the info. Problem is I will be going places where there is no land line...hmmm...I'll have to figure something out.

Well, hope everyone has a good day...stay well and safe

I have a phone line through cable, too. Is the "phone company" still around? I used to have a land-line through Southern Bell. Eons ago.

Land line? You mean, a "real" telephone as opposed to a cell? That would be our house. A couple phones are corded (for when the power is out), the others cordless. And one has a dial.

I never know how to answer when someone asks if I have a cell phone. I mostly stutter and look blank. The answer is "yes and no". Yes, I have a cell phone (not smart) that I lug around in my purse. No, you can't use that as an "alternate" contact number, because I never have it turned on. I mostly use it for emergencies or when I'm on the road. Which is rarely.

I know. I'm a dinosaur. Oh well! If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Sorry you woke up in that stage of fright. I think what happens is the sub concious works over time to engage at what ever is bothering you. Some guy in Miami did something awful to another person, freaked me out when I heard about it, sure enough that same night I woke up with a yell. I hate that too.
Get better rest, look at some cool picture before you go to sleep. Maybe you can get that mind of yours onto better subjects in your sleep. ginnie

Wow -- a whole week has gone by without anyone sharing. Hope everyone is doing okay. Yesterday I went for a mammogram and today I had an eye exam. My latest blood work shows my iron level is still way too low so I am trying a slow acting iron supplement. I just started on it yesterday and I have not had any nausea so I am hoping this one will help. I am leading such an exciting life.

Otherwise I have been reading and thinking about cleaning. I think I may need to develop a cleaning schedule. EG., clean bathrooms on Monday, changed sheets on bed on Tuesday ... Otherwise I try to do everything in one day and that does not work out too well. The weather is lovely here today. So what is everyone doing?

We have a cleaning schedule, Barb, or I guess I should say a "chores" schedule. For one thing, I can't do it all in one day now, not even close. And for another thing, my husband REALLY likes a schedule. I lose the satisfaction of having everything clean at the same time, but I've learn to "oh well" the situation.

I'm hoping that people are just reading and not posting, but I rather think that a lot of folks either moved on totally to Facebook, or that Facebook is sucking up most of their energy. Nothing against Facebook--but I share things here that I'd NEVER dream of sharing under my real name, or to my teenage friends, my granddaughter, my elderly aunt, etc.

I've been dealing with a conglomeration of physical woes the last couple of weeks, trying not to let it get me down. Or downer. I'm hoping it will improve and I can resume my "normal" life again, but it's given me a bit of a scare--what if I'm going to stay like this? Or get worse??

I'm trying to make myself face that possibility (which we ALL face at a certain age) and work a little harder at sorting and divesting of stuff. If I croak, no problem--my daughter can decide what to keep, what to sell, what to toss. I'm more worried about having to move suddenly (into a smaller place? assisted living? worse?) and not have time or mental resources to decide which 5% of my stuff I keep.

I'm working on books, music, CD's, familiy photos, etc., more or less triaging them while I still have some brain cells and can still walk around, so that if the time comes I'll have the A-list separated and labeled at least. I've got a long way to go, but I'm trying not to think about that, because I get really anxious.

Blessings -- while I am on FB I rarely post personal things. And my posts are really brief. I only post something on my status about once a week, if that. It does amaze me some of the things that people say on there. I wonder if at times if we should have put Insights in the Stumble Inn. Then more people might post. I know I do not search all of the different posts on here. I just look at Stumble Inn, MS and Insights.

Thumbs up Go For It!!

Barb, you can start an "Insights" thread in the Stumble Inn. I think it would do really well there.

I started one -- just called it Moving insights into our lives. I do not know how to link this thread with that thread.
