Heart Pain Pain Everywhere

Hi guys,

I hope you don't mind but I'm checking in for a moan. I'm in tons of pain just like everyone else on here and anytime I move it stabs me right in the lower back on both sides, then the bl**dy spasms are in the gluts and the back of my thighs. I'm so uncomfortable, even sleeping is difficult and intermittent. The meds well as we all know when you've got spasms in a alot of places there's sweet FA you can do about it.
Enough about me, I have to say talking about it always helps me feel better.

So how's everyone else on here tonight? I hope the SCS's are doing their job and making folk feel better, I'm to speak to my Consultant this week and he's going to write a letter to insurance company to see if they will approve another second SCS, I do hope they approve, otherwise I might have to wait longer.

So please tell me how you are.

Love to all,

Sinéad xxxxv

Spasms are just the worst, aren't they? No way to get comfortable, and no way to just lie still. My heart goes out to you. This may sound over-simple, but have you tried soaking in an Epsom salts bath? Sometimes it works for me, especially when my lower back is all knotted up. It was suggested to me by a massage therapist several years ago. My 16 year old nephew who lives with me part-time swears by this remedy, and after a long day of snowboarding or playing football, he heads straight for the salts bath! Usually about a cup or two of the salts in a warm bath will help some. Just a suggestion, and wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you and saying a little prayer that you will find some relief and will get approved for your second SCS.

Hang in there,
Jan

Heart Oh my Dear Friend Sinéad

How the pain so overwhelms you! Yes, it is hard to handle, but the remedy Jan suggests is not all "wet." Here in Colorado, for instance, there are a good many hot springs due to volcanism in Colorado, and the very use of Jan's
salts can replicate such baths. Trying it may certainly help, and also replicates the immersion in a therapy bath, for which the Colorado springs have long been used. Imagine that, a town through which you have driven thus named for itd nearby therapeutic springs.......

Salts are inexpensive.....may be well worth the try!
Prayin for you, my friend,
Mark56zzzzzzzz
P.S. Great suggestion Jan!

Default Ah Sinead :(

Im so sorry to read that you are still in such pain, how awful for you.

Has the letter being sent yet? I thought a couple of weeks ago you were meeting up with the Consultant to write the letter, gosh its dragging on isnt it.

Its so unfair that you are feeling so bad. I wish they would just hurry up and get it all sorted out and get you back on the road to recovery, you flipping well deserve it.

KEep in touch and let us know if you hear anything and Please God you will get there sooner rather than later

Take care

Jackie

Heart Thank you all for your advice

Thank you all for your advice, I'm only getting round to replying now, have you noticed that when you're in the worst pain the last thing on your mind is posting, well that's how it is for me perhaps for others it's the opposite.

I'm in a bit better form at the moment and I mean a bit better! The spasms are tormenting me a lot and yep I've tried the Epsom salts thanks to Gran all those years ago first time round.

I got my appointment mixed up so I'm to meet the Consultant tomorrow afternoon to write a letter to my the Insurance Company and I'm praying that they will approve another Stim and make things a whole lot less complicated.

So that's my news and thankfully I'm feeling a bit better even if I still have spasms galore.

Night night my friends it's 22:45 here and yes I am tired even if it is still a bit bright outside.

I find it so enjoyable sharing relationships with one another. When I responded last evening, I mentioned to my husband how nice we can all communicate with one another. Sharing and caring is what it is all about.

Hope all went well with your appointment with the consultant today.

How did you appt. With you consultant go? If ins in Ireland is anything like here in the US they seem to take their sweet old time. I pray your spasms have lessened and you are getting some relief. Are you getting nice summer weather? In California we get what's called June Gloom. It's over cast and gray in the am then then sun comes out around noon. Mornings are so dreary. I love it when the sun is shining.

Hope your day is better.
