Default Any recomendations for Omega-3

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a Omega-3 supplement? I have a Samsclub and Costco card but I also order from amazon/web.

I've taken them in the past but fround it hard on my stomach. I don't know if that is typical for all omega-3 supplements or just that brand I bought from Sam's club last time.

Krill oil is not hard on the stomach. It is very good with an antioxidant naturally in it too.

I use Mega Red now, instead of regular fish oil. I have hubby on these too now. We get an excellent price at Costco.

If fish oil upsets the stomach, you can choose enteric coated ones now. Most places have those.

Flax oil typically does not upset the stomach. You can get Omega-3s now in some foods. Eggland's Best, Smart Balance spreads and various peanut butters now have them added.
We even buy chicken nuggets from Canada at Costco with
Omega-3's in them.

Default This just in...

Interesting (if not new information) recently showed up in the Health News Headlines Forum

Scientists Discover How Omega-3 Improves Memory

(Psych Central News) Eating fish is said to be good for the brain and for memory.*Researchers have associated those benefits with the Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish. However, while researchers have observed the beneficial effects associated with Omega-3’s, they have been unable to describe the precise physiological changes influenced by the compound. Now, University of Alberta researchers [...]

I really like calamarine from Dr. Whitaker. His site has frequent sales, so you can find a deal. It has higher DHA than EPA, much higher, which is preferable, as DHA can convert in your body to EPA but not really vice versa. I have no trouble with the capsules, and no fishy taste or burp.

One can also buy DHA ONLY... this is synthesized by algae and is available in some prenatal vitamins now RX.

OTC it is called Neuromins, and also Expecta:

However, for you Marty with your PN... some EPA is a good idea.
EPA is anti-inflammatory and helpful.

Hubby and I have good results from MegaRed now. And we continue to use it, instead of the old fish oil we used to use.

People WILL find their own path, and choose what they like. These days, there are so many MORE choices than just 5 yrs ago!
