Question

Oh, they are LOVELY! It must be wonderful to have them in your yard. Do they mimic? I ask because we have Starlings, and they will mimic sounds to a small extent. One used to sit outside our window and laugh like me! And also we've heard them mimic alarms! It has been a while since they nested in our large Oak, however.

So I am curious what these little parrots sound like.

They are lovely! I have parrots myself, including a Rainbow Lorikeet and a Dusky Lory. It must be something to see them flying in flocks where you are!!

Beautiful! What a treat to see such color in the wild.

I don't know if these parrots mimic or not, we have a lot of other birds around too. these parrots just chatter/twitter and squawk a bit like budgies, but they are similar size to the Cockatiels. The only time I hear them make a noise is when they are chasing off the other birds from the feeder...lol

Oh, they are so pretty! I love it when birds from the wild come and interact when they don't feel threatened. There is this wonderful bond with nature.

Will they come and feed off your hand? We've had the privilege of hand-feeding lorikeets and parrots - and the experience is wondeful! (Just becareful of their sharp claws!)
