Thumbs up Congratulations

Congratulations on fixing to become a grandmother. I hope you have as much fun with yours as I do mine. This next week end DH and I are going to be going to see our oldest, which is fixing to turn 18. Enjoy the many years you have, for some odd reason grand kids grow fast than our kids. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Jack the cat peed in the living room last night NO NO NO! So, DH and I are vacuuming the whole area, we have dragged out the iron man carpet cleaner and are ready to clean the rug. Now, to be fair, I knew the rug was over due, but come on Jack! He has been medicated, and is lounging on his deck. He has no idea he did anything wrong and its a beautiful day to lounge. DH is quite shaken by it as he assumed we were past all that. I explained that sometimes accidents happen. We have seen some signs for the last few days that it was coming, but we chose to not medicate him and see what happened. Well, now we know.

Still doing my dance of the 1000 meds in the AM. yuck! eww and gross! I am feeling better, more stable and enjoying the break from this stupid disease. I have 5 more weekly treatments and then one more regular treatment and I will be past this whole thing. Time will tell if I relapse or go blind again. Its horrible to walk thru life with your fingers crossed.

im off to clean carpets! this outta make me tired.

I joined the YMCA and today was my first day. I ended up doing two classes. So I was in the pool for two hours. Gentle joints (a water class for those with arthristis and fibromyalgia) was fine, but I did not feel like it was much of a workout so I stayed for a water aerbocs class. I think I was the youngest one there Some of the ladies invited me to go to lunch with them. They always go out for lunch on the second wednesday of the month. But it was only 10:45 in the morning There was one woman that was 93 that comes to water aerobics every day. She looked awesome -- late 70's ish. My knees are hurting now, but they have been hurting quite a bit for several days and I am tired.

Hi Everyone!

I know I have been MIA for a while. I haven't been feeling very "insightful" lately. I stepped in to the deep river of DE-Nile. I had some other medical things come up and just worked at forgetting I have MS. It doesn't work very well but I try. All in all, my MS has been pretty mellow since I did the IVSM and my hospital stay in March. Things returned to a new normal. The fatigue has been horrible lately. I know it's the weather. It's dang hot out there and it's supposed to get hotter. So, I stay in the a/c and out of the heat.

I've been doing a lot of artwork and started/posted for sale some more cards. I've also sold some pieces to some of my neighbors.

I still have my busy time with work and am hoping to take on more work. I called the lady I subcontract for to see if there was more work. She's going to do some checking and let me know.

I didn't read all of the posts. Too many to read and catch up on. So, I'll start anew.

Barb - Awesome that you joined the Y. I've been thinking of joining a fitness club that offers yoga. I didn't think of the Y and will check them out.

Have a great day everyone!

WB Trish..

Haven't been doing much these days. Just my usual routine and thanking God that I'm still able to do it. Is anyone else doing a lot of sleeping?

Still watching a little Olympics, mostly late night. I've enjoyed it but, a little tired of it now. Is it almost over? I hope their closing show is a bit more adult than their opening show.

Keep hanging everyone and stay healthy..

I havent checked in much lately either. Been busy with stuff, and things. (thats what my children tell me.) stuff and things can cover a wide variety.

Jack the cat has peed out of place a couple of times. Put him on new meds. We had him off of all meds, but we think he is still having spasms. That can be painful. Poor thing. DH is frustrated but he is over tired.

My DD broke up with her long term b/f after she found him out of bed one night and when she went looking for him found him on the porch speaking to his new honey all goo goo and gah gah at her. DD stood there stunned. chose to not confront him and the next day hacked into his email and found a treasure trove of girlies in there. She promptly changed the locks and put his stuff on the curb. He stands at her door and cries everyday that he doesnt understand why he has to be the one to leave! he didnt do anything wrong! OMG! im so proud of her courage.

I am feeling better, and with feeling better comes taking care of the to do list that has been sitting and rotting for a few years. Windows are clean. I deep cleaned my carpet but cant completely get that cat odor out so a hired company is coming today to do a high traffic area clean. Laundry is done, linen closet is sorted and old sheets now live at the salvation army with the old towels. Put new mattress pads on the beds, and cleaned spare rooms as well as my own. Kitchen is clean and fridge/freezer is cleaned out. ready for the summer canning season to start with the freezing of the fresh veggies. that is a lot of work! Prepaid for my oil for this season before the prices went up. Corresponding is done. Catio is cleaned and all their blankets washed. I mean the list is never ending, but its so many things I have skipped for so long that I had given up on a few of those items. Guess im feeling better to do all this.

Its humid and rainy here. I wish we could share rain with the rest of the country. NH is always over cast and never really sunny even when its hot. No wonder folks here all suppliment with vitamin D tabs. I have been out walking and have seen all the new animals that got adopted this summer. A fluffy dog for marcy and rich, a grey kitty for Dan, a golden for Doug and his wife who suddenly lost their beloved dog. a dauchand for Harvey and trudi and there is plenty of wild life going. I saw TWO moose yesterday! TWO! Glad it wasnt a cow with a baby, she would have charged me. It was two young males and its about to be rut season (mating) so you have to be careful. a bear is hanging out in the neighborhood and I have seen several foxes. Nice young beaver couple living down by the lake and a fresh batch of canada geese have been seen making a mess too. its nice to be able to notice these things instead of zipping by with my eyes closed.

I hope everyone is enjoying something this summer. its been a wild ride for so many states.

‎66 degrees here! I am chilly AC is off for the first time in a few months and windows are open. It looks like temperatures are going to below 90 for the next several days. And we got some rain finally!

I am getting my hair cut this morning, and then going out to lunch with a friend. We are also going to to a bit of shopping at Kohl's and CJ Banks.

Classes start in a week at the university. The summer has gone by so quickly. It feels a bit strange that I do not have any preparation to do. I always looked forward to the beginning of school. This will be my first year in 49 years that I will not experience the first day of school. The biggest thing that I miss so far is not having an office to go to. I am not sure what I would do if I had one.

Afternoon all...chilly, sunny and windy here in the Northwoods...

Barb hope you enjoy the first year out of school make sure to be active daily...it is so easy to turn into a lump (I am a great example).

Trish, glad you've shown your pretty virtual face again!! Keep cool...it's hot out there!!

Took the pup for a walk this morning, the first bit of walking I've done for days...tried to start a new blanket, but the pattern, even though it's easy, is giving me problems...I've ripped it out 3 times already I'll try again later. A couple of friends's daughters have had babies, and I want to get these done before I start making blankets for my new grandbaby on the way

Our time up here is winding down, and I don't want to leave The stressors back home make my symptoms kick up a bit...so I love being away from home...expecially when it is so beautiful...
ah well, that's what vaca is for right?

Have a good weekend everyone...

I've been MIA for the last bit while catching up on stuff; mostly around the yard and house. The good news is I can actually do stuff instead of dragging myself around or collapsing after a few hours at the office. LDN has made a HUGE difference and I've only been on it for 10 days.

For sure there are still symptoms but the edge has been taken off them and there is less fatigue as well as more and longer periods free of cog-fog.
I had a friend over on Sunday and she said "You're back!" in reference to my not only being able to a carry on a conversation without slurring, forgetting words or what we were talking about, but also being able to philosophize and debate coherently (a 'hobby' we share).

Things were really humming along and I did a big cleaning of my house, gardened and cut my lawn. I had been so debilitated with profound fatigue and other symptoms that I can't express how wonderful it was to do those things again...and not pay afterwards (well...at least not as much).

Was? Well yes. I've done something nasty to my ankle. Not sure what yet because I only woke up this morning with it all swollen and throbbing through the numbness. I think that I must have gone over on it and not noticed. It is probably just a bad sprain, so will see what it is like tomorrow; but I've been hobbled because of it since this morning. The other leg is my 'bad one', so getting about is both painful and dicey.

Ah well, the mind was being processed quite well in this addled brain of mine today, so I got a ton of office stuff and correspondence done on the computer.

Hope that everyone is doing well. I haven't caught up on many of the posts yet; so don't know.
Erin, I sent you a MP on the toilet thingy; and hope that it helps.

Am heading off to bed now which is earlier than normal, but the body has served me well these last days and needs to rest now. I'm actually sleeping better too (more than two or three hours at a stretch), and that is something that has been a major issue for years.

With love, Erika
