Default Hello I'm Molly

I'm Molly, and I am 23. Even though I'm young, I had a stroke last november and have been working on getting bak to my old self so I'm sorry for any mispelling or error in my writing ahead of time. I came to this site while looking for service dog information. I was given a golden retriever puppy by my hubby becuse he hoped that training him wuld help me get my mental ability back. My dog is my Shadow, and although he is only 5 months he remembers more than I ever do like where home is . I am searching for ways to build my brain function back to wear it was. I was in college as a Law student before and I want to go back and finish. I was a A student, and I can't even spell anymore.
I would like to also find a way to share Shadow. He has been a big help to me and it doesnt seem right to keep him to myself when he can help others. He is a great comfort and my best friend.
Does anyone know anyting about Service Dogs for Stroke?

Hi Molly,

Someone one on NeuroTalk pointed you out to me. I have MS and have had my service dog, Monty, a black Lab, for over four years. I live in Southwestern Virginia, 15 miles from Saint Francis Service Dogs, the organization that trained Monty.

I don't know where you live, but I can give you two websites to check out:

ADIonline.org They have a list of each state with all service dog organizations in each state.

DeltaSociety.org

Best of luck with your search. I wish you full and speedy recovery.

If you have any questions, I will be happy to try to answer them. Or, if you just need to "talk", please feel free to message me.
