Default Sunday Sunday

I love Sundays. It's clean-up day for me and visit day from DD and rug rats..

I get up at about 8AM....Clean up doggy's mess then sanitize floors, polish furniture, straighten up living room. Clean kitchen, bathroom, ME. I keep it clean as I go, so Sunday isn't as big of a deal. I usually have us all ready by 10:30AM and sit at PC, play and wait.

The all come in like a herd of buffalo, put my groceries away, take out my garbage and fill me in on what's been happening. I say. what's new, they say nothing and then I drag it out of them. DD and I hardly get a chance to chat.. I usually have to fax her for everything.... She is soooooooo busy.. Poor baby.

Today was an early day, so it's 12:30 and they're gone already. Now Pal and I will fix us some lunch and vegg out for the rest of the day, watch TV, play on PC and sleep.

If I didn't have MS, I would probably be hanging out with a friend, out to lunch, at the local pub, playing sports trivia and then home to veg out with doggy.

Monday is back to normal boredom....I enjoy that too.

So what cha all up to?

It's a quiet Sunday here, Sally.

My landlord came by yesterday and put up my porch mailbox. I got permission from the Post Office to have my mail delivered to the porch mailbox so I don't have to make the trek out to the mailbox at the road each day. I tend to trip alot on the driveway and don't want to risk pulling that stunt while I'm home alone.

I've been on the 'puter and watching some TV this morning. A nap is definitely on the schedule as Tigger was romping up and down the hall last night.....sounded like a bunch of horses galloping around out there......and of course that noise kept me up. As soon as I was good and awake he decided to flake out on the guest room bed.

Sally, it sounds like you and Kitty had nice Sundays!

Yesterday was workday for me. I fixed a big hole in the fence. Do NOT like working with barbed wire! Didn't get finished with the rest of the fence and there was a cow in the yard again later. Maybe today.

And I did 2 loads of laundry. And put them away!

That's a wonderful Sunday, in which you can do all that and live to tell about it, Sparky..

Sunday is not my favorite day of the week--I miss being able to be in church.

Blessings, I had a hard time with that, too. But I've found so many church services and studies on television and on the Internet that I tend to be more "involved" in church even if it is in my own living room.

If you want the links to the sites I like to visit just PM me and I'll be happy to share. I've even developed a Bible study for myself using one of the sites and I enjoy it so much. I have the time now and really love all the resources I've discovered that are out there.

I relish Sundays! Full pot of coffee and a nice thick paper to read cover to cover, not to mention all those ads!

I stay in my jammies until I manage to drag my lazy butt back upstairs to get dressed - of course if I don't do that by mid afternoon I "conserve water" as in "Why bother dirtying up some clothes if I am headed for bed in a few hours -I might as well stay in my jammies!"

love, love, love Sundays! We have officially named it 'Sunday Paper Day'

Sally your Sundays sound great! Thank you for sharing with us.

I work every Sunday and although I would rather be reading the paper in my jammies like jprinz99 it is usually a fairly laid back day and I am blessed in that I truly love my job.

Sally, just a couple of months ago I would barely be able to walk after that. I'd be all hunched over and dragging a leg like a horror story MonSter. I thank my Chiropractor for the help! I don't know if it's increased blood flow or straightening my lower spine, but I last longer when I work and am able to walk better afterward.

Sunday has become one of my least favorite days since this MonSter has confined me to the house. Like B2Y, I so miss going to church. Having directed the choir, played piano or organ for many years, I miss the comaraderie (sp?) and "personal touch". Yes the various TV programs fill some of the gap, but that human fellowship is sorely lacking.

I enjoy watching NASCAR so if there's a Sunday race, I'm fine, if not....boring. It seems getting out of the regular routine, whatever that may be, is just upsetting.
