Sally, I realize I'm a newbie here, but, this is my specialty. I've been an insomniac since the age of 11. I had a sleep pattern that I understood until this mystery disease started messing things up.

Sometimes, your body will go into "rogue" stage. It means that it needs to recharge. Especially after a stressful period, or if you change medications or change something as simple as how you deal with a particular symptom (i.e: change exercises or when you fall & recover).

Those Zen folks aren't kidding when they talk about everything having a place (feng shui) and a time for every season. And seasons also play a role in how your body reacts to things. Winter is coming...(not just a tag-line for a show like "Game of Thrones," LOL). Your body knows that it will react to less light, less warmth & needs to get your biorythym (sp?) ready for that.

Definitely, call your doctor to make sure it isn't something else; but, also, enjoy the extra sleep. A recharge isn't as bad as you might be worrying about it. All things in all good time. Simple but true.

PS: Scatter thoughts are brought to you by the good folks at: not sure what this is as an undiagnosed mess of a person

Ah Erika, another wise owl, finding an answer that also fits so well and one that I, the oldest wise one, hadn't thought of.

To all of you who are worried that I may have an infection or other illness flare, I assure you, I do not. Other than the dippy sleepy stuff, I feel great.

I went back to bed this morning (6am), after pottying and slept till 10am and I am about to take my 3pm nap. So far so good..

What would I do without you all..I love you.

EDIT: And you too N2N!!

Judy, sometimes I feel refreshed and some I don't. If I dream hard, I wake up tired.

If I am still feeling this tomorrow, I will call the Doc. Ill let you all know.

Sally, if I started sleeping a lot, at first I would enjoy it! Quickly though, it would dawn on me that it isn't normal. I find it interesting that you pick 'end of life' as a possible reason. Surely there would be other changes if that were the culprit.

Please get checked out! Take a list of your supplements and dosages!

Blessings, you forgot to add, Sally from our Alley..

Keeping my fingers crossed, but I think I'm back to normal (whatever that is). I may have been forcing myself to get up earlier than I should. Now that I'm sleeping until 10:30am, I am lasting until 3pm naptime. A much happier camper.

I've raised enough of those Doctor's Kids for awhile..

Sometimes you just have to get it out there among friends and examine it, so I will take my 2 Asprin and call ya in the morning, if anything changes..

@Sally. When was the last time you had blood drawn and a panel done?

And Medicare should cover this, right?

Why not call your doctor and see what he/she thinks since none of us are really qualified.

And...Sally, you know I am right (not always but if I could create a poll from this thread, I bet a great majority would support a call to your doctor).
