Anyone see the segment on the up coming new pill on n.b.c. news tonight? Can't find anything about it on the Internet. They said there were very few side effects. Called vg12

Where on earth do they come up with the names of these new meds?

Here's where I get most of my accurate news from:

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/...79P05O20111026

Notice in the article that it says how they don't know what the long-term safety is on the drug. Hmmm...I think that I would be interested in long term stuff...don't you??

I recall a thread about BG 12 here...I'm not sure I'd ever take an immunosuppressive drug for MS. I personally feel you're just inviting an avalanche of problems...wish they'd find a cure or at least what the heck causes this stupid disease

It's interesting to read of the things they come up with and also how we all would rather take a pill form than the shots.

I, too, would want to know about the long-term effects.

No wonder I couldn't find out anything on the net! I heard the name wrong! Glad I did'nt go to doc and ask about VG 12.

Reminds me of one time my hubby sent me to the store to buy a bottle of 3 Owls Vodka.
I asked the clerk and he said "You mean 3 Olives Vodka"?

Default BG-12 not VG-12

The medication is BG-12 it is from Biogen. The company that gives us avenox and tsybri. It looks good, with a 51% decrease in relapses with taking the pill 3 times a dy. Even taking it 2x's a day you decrease your chances by 44%. So that is why you can't find anything. I hope this helps!

Sounds great to me, and the fact that it has been used for 10 years for psoriasis in Europe.
My doctor said it should be out in 30 days or so!!
