Heart Blessed to Know

So grateful to Gerry, George, and Ginnie- faithful to pass along to us word regarding cancer. Lord we pray for healing help regarding this significant situation so very difficult which doctors are analyzing to treat in the best way for Gerry and family. You, our Lord have the touch to create inner peace so Gerry is able and willing to approach the illness with open mind, heart and spirit to accept that which is good, pure, and appropriate to care.

Lord hear our prayer,

Default Hello friends

I'm sorry for my absence...really. So much has happened out here...I'm lifting Gerry, Eva, and everyone else up in prayer as I write this.

We got a rather frantic call Saturday morning from my sister in law who was at the side of my mother-in-law ... a call that caused us to pretty much drop everything and make mad-dash plans for the 6-hour trip to Alexandria. We were told "Momma J" was waiting to see my wife then the 'plug would be pulled'.

Anyway, before we got out the door another call came saying, "She's shown signs of improvement: the doctors will NOT pull the plug as long as she's making forward progress. By the time we left Sunday afternoon she was much better but..."not out of the woods". We were also told she coded between hospitals early in the whole ordeal.

So, I'm back and have lots of 'news' for my stuttering-stim but will put it in another thread. Just wanted to pop in and let y'all know I'm back and reading/praying with y'all.

Default Hi Eva

Glad to hear you are a bit better. That is great. any improvement is a blessing. You needed a break from such terrible pain.
I have not talked to George since our last conversation. I plan to call in a day or so, to see about Gerrys condition. She is still in the hospital, and yes I am very worried. The size of her tumor was not good, and I am hoping to find out about the pathology, and see what can be done for her. George comes home after spending the day with her wiped out. I continuously pray for Gerry.
My own demons with morhphine withdrawl are in full swing. Won't go into the symptoms, but it is awful. Sleep is non existant. I droped my last dose about two weeks early to be done with it. Paying a price for rushing it. I am 5 days into no medication. YeH! I have 7- 14 days and I should start to feel myself again. Left over pain is tolerable. I live moment to moment like you do Eva. All my best to you and constant prayers for all of us on NT. ginnie

Heart Prayin

For all who here share. I feel blessed to participate in what is occurring through prayer. So much for so many people. What a comfort to know we have faith and God to carry us when we cannot make footprints in the sand.

Cancer is SO VERY HARD, myelograms the same, withdrawal from meds a difficult feat, aging friends and family- wondering when the call might come..... then there is the JOY of grandchildren to awaken Spring thoughts within our aging minds. Pain is a rotten lot, and I feel and care so much for all who suffer, knowing as well the Father cares.

Surrounding all in prayer-
