blue birds canaries sing
snowflakes from the bluest

elephants my gentle giants
the furry caterpillar that will
one day be a beautiful butterfly
only to live a short life
as a baby is being born
the sickly old lonely
souls who haven't had
the chance to enjoy
that butterfly because they
didn't live long enough
rainbows to be seen
for they really exist
fireworks made to beautify

just to put a smile in your heart

Our dear friends Ginnie and Gerry have communicated through Gerry's husband, providing a window of blessing for sharing here on the Blessing Thread. Gerry returns to her home tomorrow after having had successful surgery, buoyed by prayers of so many and blessings overwhelming that she neither requires chemo nor radiation and was not forced to endure a colostomy bag situation. In all our ways acknowledge the Lord, and he will make our paths straight.

So..... we continue to pray for healing after surgery for one, for withdrawal gently from meds for the other, for abiding love and blessings upon all.

I am waiting too, anxious to hear from our friend. she needs time, and I won't bother her this weekend. Early next week, I will call her and see if my friend can smile again. I miss her, and I know all of you do too. Her husband has been very supportive and so has her son. God did work a miracle for this dear faithful lady. I have missed her gentle posts more than I ever thought I would. I was scared for her, and I know we all were. So blessed that this situation can have a good resolution for her. Let her suffering be alot less. In Jesus Name we all do pray. ginnie

Thanks for the updates, Ginnie and Mark. I've been praying for Gerry and hoping that she would soon be recovering from the surgery and able to rest at home. What an answer to prayer this is!

friends

thank you for another day

i have hopes and dreams
we all do one way or another
dreams that i had since a little
girl
i am blessed to be a mother of
four great children
a grandmother to my grandchild
a mother to my son-in-law
turmoil always not far behind
thy will be done
i speak openly to my family
maybe just maybe the work
is on the right path
my son surprised me and
called better yet
about two hours
he shows up to see us
my heart rejuvenated by
his presence he looks good
other than he is 6'8" and 165
pounds he apologized said
he was ashamed at how he
took things for granted
people life as
it's all good
all came crashing down
asked him what i could
do for him
he answered
just to talk i explained
this is home never forget that
with that he returned to his home

I got a message from Gerry. We still need to keep her in our prayers all the time. The situation is not as good as I hoped for after talking to her. I think she may have to have some kind of Chemo. I wrote to her last night. She is so very strong and brave. Nausea is a problem, and that she said was part of her feeling bad. Her system has had a shock. It was just so good to hear from her, knowing that she is home, and resting comfortably. I do not know the details, and will share if she will allow. Keep up the prayers Mark, Eva, Java, and all good souls, for another good soul Gerry.
As to my own withdrawl from morphine, I am finished and OK. Your prayers for me, gave me great comfort and confidence. I am over the hump, just still sneezing alot! Pain is tolerable, and I am dealing with it. Love you all, a sister, ginnie

a beautiful thing indeed
he came with his cross on
the one given to him when
Baptized
he cried like a baby
comfort i was able to give
as i held him
he has hit bottom
and has remembered
God carrying him in his
time of need
that he is not alone
that his family never
left him
humble he was

this morning my Corissa
tells me my brother hugged
me with emotions i never seen

my daughter Christine
in the hospital having
problems with her gallbladder
there are crystals found
two sources causing such
findings diet or drinking
hers is not the latter
after giving birth
and the re-hab food
did not help the situation
she is bigger now compared
to a 10 month pregnancy
little Eva is with Mimma
is the name she gave me
and her Aunti Corissa
are watching her while in
the hospital
my daughter Saraeve has
been put on a additional
seizure medication that
is causing severe headaches
and some seizures this child
of mine as well as the other
two are going thru real rough
times only with Saraeve
she had major brain surgery
removing part of her occipital lobe
and the trade off is permanent
loss of sight right eye upper
peripheral vision and to be on
less medication
at one time she was taking
8 different pills at one time
several times a day
and then trial and error
the another operation
entailed an implant called a
VNS and that has not been
that successful implant
is in upper right chest area
close to her arm pit up to the
brain then a magnet wristband
and when she feels a seizure
coming on she waves the magnet
over her chest and this is to reboot
the brain and stop them it will be 10
years April 30th 2013 she has been
on so many meds she wonders if
her eggs are viable to have children
this is sad to watch your child or
children for that matter
the positive side to this all
in the end she was still in the
same boat as before any surgery
she is now living her bliss poetry
won her first slam Friday night
so proud watching them find there
way one struggling harder than the
other and i can only support them
thy will be done on earth as it is in
HEAVEN

Dear God
hello to all

thank you for another day

first a big HUG for Gerry

i am going to jump right into it sorry about the run on and missing punctuation i am beside myself beside myself God
what's wrong with people why won't they listen or even explain to the person in question laying in bed with no relief of pain and it has been four days no answer so i asked my daughter to call me when the doctor is in as i am your advocate and do a conference for if the morphine just puts a dent to her pain and cannot find a drug that will this has been going on since before she had the baby of normal weight she has had an endoscopy with a biopsy and results in reference to the crystals HERE IS WHERE I NEEDED TO STEP IN AS HER ADVOCATE UNABLE TO DO FOR HERSELF SHE EITHER DOESN'T KNOW TO ASK ALONG WITH BEING GROGGY my daughter calls me when it turns 6 persons came in her room whether or not attendants or doctors my daughter says these were the persons who overseen her including a female who left the room as she did not like what had to say so i was listening
to what they had to say barely could hear them and i speaking loud enough so they could hear me and it goes something like this

my daughter tells them i am on the phone overhearing as her advocate and mother at first someone says you can't do that she continued to tell them i was advocate i began to ask them
could you please tell me what your specialty is and who are you of course they weren't happy with my questions then i hear from the female who left the room which left the next one to step up to the plate it was a male someone i tell them my concerns and in four days you or anyone else from your group find out where her pain is emanating from i understand
it is process of elimination now who knows what he asked me to calm down i was to loud i told him i could hardly hear them i wanted to make sure they herd me he tells me the lab report says pancreatitus i ask are you telling me 100% as per lab report that is where the pain is coming from he confirms yes i ask if they knew she had an endoscopy with a biopsy positive for crystals and it was to followed up the another female chimed in and said she was to call him as my daughter chimed in i gave you the gastrointestinal report that should have been faxed if someone was doing the obvious so he says 100% as per lab results i said blood work he said yes i went on to say
very well and they ? will call me and explain


now i ask is there something missing here

Corissa will be home by 2:00 and i'll get the extra help
