Default Pumpkin seeds

Hi Aunt Bean,

how does chewing raw pumpkin seeds help?

Default circular motion seems to help

My brother was staying with me and when his tremor got bad for some reason decided to stand, bend forward and grasping the bar stool with a hand each side of the seat turned it round from side to side so both hands were below him and making a circular motion. His tremor reduced almost immediately and stayed reduced for a good while afterwards, a matter of a couple of hours. He did it again when he came last and the same thing happened. He commented the particular movement seemed to interrupt the tremor.

There is a chigong move *that you stand with your hands forward and turn to the back (arms straight at shoulder level)and follow your right hand with your eyes as you turn right as far around to the back as possible/ then follow with your eyes still on your right hand until it reaches the front. Change eye focus to the left hand and follow it to the back and forward again. First time I tried it ..made me feel so sick. But, I get determined to conquer...and each day tried it again, until it no longer made me sick and I could even do it quickly. Twisting / circle-ing seem to do something to quicken brain function and help with balance issues and it helps me get my arm swing back when it quits, as well as stretching the arm as far to the other side with a help from the other arm. When a hand tremors or feels fidgety-like..I slide it under my leg (when sitting down) and lean to the other side .and backwards ,....giving it traction

Are you saying to raise the stool slightly off the ground and rotate the stool alternately clockwise and then counterclockwise?

Default Tremor

My husband was initially diagnosed with Essential Tremor and prescibed
Propranolol which he took all the time.It did not help.Eventually he was diagnosed with Parkinson's by a neurologist specialising in movement disorders. Now he just takes Propranolol on special occasions and it does have an effect and reduce the tremor. So it can work for some people with Parkinson's but not in the way it works for ET.

Hi curem, no not raise the stool off the ground. With the base on the ground, rotate the seat alternately clockwise and counterclockwise, holding the sides of the seat with the hands and keeping arms more or less straight - my brother did this for a minute or so.
