Did someone say Christmas? Noooooooo, not yet.. Yep, it's the Grands that keep the materialism in the season. Couldn't we just have a Birthday Party for Jesus, gifts of food and needs for the poor, with a big fattening cake and ice cream???

Nothing exciting happening here in my life....leaves have almost fallen from the early tree, now waiting for the rest to turn and fall...booooooooring...

I'm feeling well though. Hope you are too.

Hi everyone...up at the cabin in the Northwoods...cold and cloudy...brrr...

My SIL ran the Chicago Marathon, even with an IT band injury...he finished just under 4 hours. Afterwards, he walked like me

DD had an ultrasound on Friday...the doc is pretty sure it's a girl. We'll see...

My legs have been horrible again...in so much agony I see the neuro in 3 weeks. It won't matter-he never does anything.

Well, hope all of you have a good afternoon...

Hello dear friends,

Things are a bit better with me and DH. Knock on wood. I called my neuro's office to get a form for transferring my records to a local doctor. The long drive is too much for me anymore. And my MS is pretty stable (knock on wood again) so I'm going to try a local guy who is rated fairly good online. All he really needs to do is general checkups and refill meds. Taking the day long trip to the northern suburbs is too difficult for that.

I started having my nails done again last week with the gel type. I got a new guy and he did a pretty poor job. So I called yesterday and spoke to the owner of the salon Julie and told her and she will do them from now on. I didn't want to get him in trouble but she needed to know because she could lose customers if he isn't more careful.

I'm making homemade vegetable beef soup tonight and I'll have enough to have each night for dinner.

I've been trying to take off my Verizon weight, lol. I gained 30 lbs since starting there. So I either make a large bowl of salad or pan of soup and have that each night. I usually work the late shift and get home at 9pm. So if I eat that it's less than having a big dinner then going to bed. So far I've taken off 15 lbs in three months this way.

Well I better get back to my laundry and soup. Group hug to everybody...

Hi all...30 degrees at 8 am up here at the cabin

Wiz, sorry you're leaving the doc Hope the new guy is good for you and to you...what a great way to lose the weight!! I'm sure that eating late packs it on easier...keep us posted!
I just can't get this increased weight off...my thyroid numbers are off again, and the doc is waiting to see if they'll stabilize. I rejoined Weight Watchers online and am being honest with myself...I occasionally go over the limit, but I am trying to at least go for a walk to stay active every day. It's as if my body is turning everything I eat into belly fat though my rings are loose on my fingers-though I notice my ankles swelling a bit at night occasionally. Sheesh, I just want to feel healthy again...this summer was great.

Hope everyone has a great day!!

At least loneliness leaves the door open for happiness to enter.

Hi Everyone!

Wow! I have been busy, busy, busy! I've had typing to do and the paintings. I didn't reach my goal of getting 6 done in a week. I did get 5 done though. I still have a big one to get done and three smaller ones to get done. I haven't had much time to do anything else.

The weather is really turning nice around here. The days are still hot, well hot for me. The mornings and evenings are wonderful! I love the time of year when the heat is turned down. I get so energized. Well, not energized as in run a marathon, but you know what I mean.

Have a great evening/morning!

I just got going today, did all my morning duties, fixed th pup and I our lunches/breakfast/dinner/whatever, and am sitting on the sofa, in front of the PC and TV, eating Sally's stew..

My Stew today is..white meat chicken cubes, cheese ravioli, sweet potato pieces, broccoli flowerettes, (all from Schwans) with a little ICBINButter...Yummmmmmm.

Pal's is the same chicken with his little bites dog food in gravy. He say grrrreattttt!!

Hi everyone...

In a tizzy...planning two baby showers is too much for my poor cog fog brain. I am going to let the DILs take most of it...and I'm making it easy by ordering food trays and cupcakes.
It saddens me that I can't handle anything mentally anymore...I get overwhelmed so easliy...

Tkrik, if you can find some spare time, you might consider the MSAA's Art Showcase 2013. (http://support.msassociation.org/sit...dInterest=1901)

Morning...brrr...20 degrees

Turned on the water faucet, got enough water to fill my coffee decanter, and then nothing. We are hoping that the pump froze in the cold...this cabin isn't winterized. Otherwise we'll have to replace the pump...as Lennon sang, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans..."
