Smile Higher Calling

Hmmmm, that is a song I have sung in worship. I am absolutely sure you have a higher calling Andy, and now you are on the healing way, you may be making those ways once again in your work, in your Lord's work and the like. It truly feels rewarding to me, doing those things I know best how to do for others.

Then there is that yiddish word, a real word in fact, and one day I was on the phone with a younger lady attorney who had come from back east, and let me in on the true meaning of a word which had just escaped my lips about a litigant of whom neither of us had a high opinion. Same word. I looked it up. Inwardly said "oh." Then dropped it from the vocab...... yup. Thought you might like to know.

Sign me, been there, done that,

HMMMMM, , I wonder WHO on earth could you be referring to dear Mark!
If I drop the hint that I have horses, will that make it easier to figure out??

Indeedy, Andy, please DO err on the side of caution!
I have a precious grand-boy whom I adore to pick up, but he's 26 lbs at this point. Alot of it of course depends on HOW you pick yours up.....I'm sure you know to lift with your knees and not your back bent, yes? Ok, you can slap me for that insult upon your intelligence!

Anyway, I'm glad you are thorough with your thoughtlife, Andy. Had I been moreso, I doubt I'd have been back at the operating table.

I have had way too many occasions of NOT thinking things through and paying the price for it!

Indeed, I know about lifing with knees versus back - it's just not something that's been an option for me most of my life but over the past 10 weeks I've been working hard at remembering to bend the knees, not the back, for whatever I'm doing. I mess up sometimes and thankfully haven't suffered any major migration from it but anything I've lifted that I thought would be pushing that line a bit I have remembered to bend the knees. In fact, naughty me, I picked up the above mentioned G'Daughter today (I know, I shouldn't have done that yet) and definitely remembered to use the knees - I don't think I bent my back at all with that. I was a bit shocked at how heavy she was but it was too late to back off at that point. I did not feel ANY pull in the back nor any change in stimulation so I think I'm okay but I really do need to be careful.

Ah yes, I dont' think there's such a thing as being 'tooo' careful.
However, even tho I'm 2 yrs scarred in, I still question some of the reaches and stretches I attempt to make at times. I could be pushin my luck I guess.

But DARNIT! It's just WAYYY too precious to be able to pick up my Aidyn. He's like magic to my arms. Sadly tho, I know there will come a day when it will obviously become too much to handle.

This little guy is what is keeping me 'young'

Bees Knees! What a cute expression to apply to the feelings we have relating to our grandchildren!! Thank you for sharing it!

Time is approaching when your new home will be ready to occupy, and I hope it will be a wonderful "homecoming" for you and your family!! Just be careful with yourself, even though by now you are fully scarred in. No reason to mess up the works since they are functioning well for you.

My family still insists on me taking care of myself..... oh..... yes, I reckon it is true I have this fusion from which I am healing yet. One day I will be all healed up, then gonna take my bride, and get a passport for me and come learn so more interesting things about the Emerald Isle Nation. Not a threat, mind you, just a dream of mine....... and hers too!!

Yep,

My husband being Irish (his parents born in Ireland) made our visit there about 8 or 9 years ago even more memorable. I remember looking down from the airplane as we were headed to Scotland, thinking how beautiful all the green looks and a feeling that I missed seeing more of the Emerald Isle.

Hope your dream comes true.

Teeth Ahhhhhh, there is our Rae

Complete with the Wonderful Smilies to both liven things and lighten our hearts with a SMILE!!!

You do realize Rae, you and hubby will have to make the trip over for the PARTIES. Oh yeah....

Well, we do have a 22 foot cruiser. Might get us as far as the Grand Banks before it ran out of fuel and sank.

Nah, flying..... yeah, I think we can get some government surplus weather balloons from the fifties and helium them up, maybe do a "five weeks in a balloon" type thing....... but, then there is the drifting without control aspect of ballooning, nah, we need the Spirit of St. Louis. Reckon the Smithsonian would part with it?

Yup,
