Pocono's really hit with wind damage, the power is still off, gas shortage. My dgs finally got back to school and had his Holloween party today. The trees down, are huge monsters. I guess because they had leaves on, the rain, the 70 mph winds has been wicked.
The photo's of the shore, there are no words for. I am glad to hear the NY marathon is postponed. The city needs the commerce but in reality, things are not ready for their own, let alone the influx.

On top of it, there is a Nor'Easter headed up the coast. Last thing we want to see is heavy snow. Gee, you would think that over all the years the elec wires could be put under drowns, not on sticks/poles!
Keep warm everyone, some sleet tonight, I need to feel the sun and some warmth.

No power and limited access to gas stinks. Now, sleet!!!
I would send some sunshine your way.
Keep staying safe.

We DownHere have just gotten the coldfront rain finally this evening; no big deal. It's actually a bit welcomed to feel a little chill in the air, hear a little rumble of thunder & only some mild lightning seen over the Bay tonight. Hope that ya all are warm & cozy tonight. My lifelong friend in NJ still had no elec power Monday.

There's been a weather pattern in the last several years. It seems like when we have two storms in the area,we have a third.

We may have a third storm in the mid,to Northern Atlantic at the end of this week,or next week. I hope that I'm wrong, and I hope that the weather pattern has changed.

I feel sorry for the people who are getting the snow storm on top of last weeks tropical storm. This storm last week went all around us,and I didn't have any problems. BF

I did some research on the weather forward cast for the winter. We may not get that storm next week because the El Nino as of November 6,2012 is weak,to neutral.

So there may not be a storm in the Northeast coastal area next week. BF

Good morning, Steve, et al UpThere in the East/Northeast,

Glad to see that Storm Athena is moving out & away today.
Thanks for bringing my attention to this one-two-three punch weather pattern, Steve. Indeed hopefully there will be no third NE Coastal storm next week walloping the area and resources already under stress.

I recall 2005, my first experience of living with/through tropical storm season DownHere. 2005 brought to us "The Three Sisters": Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma --- all category 5 storms. What an impact on resources and people's coping skills.
