Arrow Virus alert: DNS changer:

This virus alert is real...I checked it at Snopes.com

http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/dnschanger.asp

To check if you have this lurking in your system, before July 9th when it activates go here:

http://www.dcwg.org/detect/

We tested okay, BTW.

Lightbulb

The test at the main website does NOT enter your system or download anything. It just reads your IP and scans that system.
It only takes one second or so. Simple.

Most of the big IP providers have cleaned their servers, but some have not.

So this "test" is not like others you may have experience with.

Saw the teaser about this on our local news , but missed the whole story about it.
I'm sure this is what it was about all the teaser said was "find out what might knock you off the internet July 9th"

I think that was the date mentioned.

Thanks! I went to the tester link, got an immediate answer, and it looks like my computer is fine!

It has been very slow the last couple of days. Must be some other reason for that.
