Default Mikey is able to do it.......

by having the very best of care and his shear will and courage and adaptability. However, most of the YPWP community can only hope to acquire the physical control improvements that are propping up MJF. This disease kills, slowly and inexorably, it can't be adequately controlled for many of us, where we are still caught in a daily struggle to just keep on keepin. cs

Will anyone ever know what his changed regime is? I don't think we know what he has been taking up to now, I think they keep that pretty under wraps....I get why, but since all meds would have to be rx'd by a doc, it's not like all PWP could run out and mimic what he's doing.

If anyone has any idea what he changed, please share

Default amantadine

Wasn't there an earlier thread this past fall which mentioned amantadine as the new element in his meds protocol?

Michael has always been an avid athlete. When he was in Seattle we talked about Jay Alberts' Pedaling for Parkinson's program. It would not surprise me one bit if he is doing the cycling regimen as well.

yes, Amantadine. Google it and you will find references to it. MJF seemed rather vague in one or more interviews I saw, but he does get there eventually. The reference to change got a lot of people on another site excited that there was some new unannounced treatment that had wonderful benefits. Not so evidently. I imagine he avoids being specific so as not to be the pied piper of the me too crowd,

Default Another explanation ?????

Maybe he is using meds approved for other conditions, but helpful to some with PD. Isradipine ? Creatine ? Simvastatin ? minocycline ?

I am just glad to see he is doing better.
