I am using a ground flaxseed which I always keep in my refrigerator. I use it in my smoothies. Since my smoothie is consist of a several fruits and veggies with Lactaid, it makes it so thick so I put just a roundful teaspoon of (ground) flaxseed.

I just thought of sharing this info -- my eye doctor prescribed Flaxseed cap and my rheumy prescribed Omega 3 both for my dry eyes. Even specialists acknowledge the benefits of Omega 3 and flaxseed. I never got the flaxseed as I was already taking the Omega 3 at the time though. I should add more flaxseed in my food.

Thank you so much!!!

However, there are numerous benefits to taking flaxseed, so many more than taking just the oil.

Taking that into consideration, I take flaxseed, even though it has less omega 3 per serving.

Just thought I would share.
Have you ever seen a field of flax in bloom? It is the most beautiful sight one will ever see. We used to grow it when I was young. We harvested it and sold it to the local grain elevator. It is a tough crop to harvest. We also sold the straw. Flax is a good thing.
