The skinny on obesity (and PD?)

i'm referring to biomarkers that manifest themselves way before there are any physical symptoms, by then it's likely too late. and DNA analysis as we learn more about what genes predispose one to PD.

This newer study (2012, Apr.) shows that "onset of diabetes before the onset of PD appears to be a risk factor for more severe PD symptoms. These findings support the hypothesis that diabetes has a role in the etiopathogenesis of PD. Neurologists should be aware of the potential impact of diabetes on overall PD management." This tells, at least, diabetes makes PD worse, though not seems to initially cause PD...
