Default Cannabidiol oil for treating Parkinson's

I am hoping someone here has some experience with trying CBD oil for parkinson's. CBD oil is being used successsfully in treating seizures when standard drugs for this disorder fail. There are some studies and some anecdotal evidence to show it works well with other brain disorders, such as alzheimers and pd. This is not medicinal marijuana or hemp oil, but non-psychoactive oil derived from specially grown marijuana plants that are very low in THC and high in cannabinoids, compounds that have therapuetic affect on the brain. I can't offer any links from this library computer, but I am sure some of you cracker jack researchers on this forum can find and post some useful info. Just trying to get the ball rolling on this forum on this potentially useful substance for pd. Any thoughts?

Well, it seems that CBD oil can not be shipped out of Colorado. So if you live in a state where it is legal to use CBD oil as a therapuetic treatment for any illness, you can't get it. I reside in the backward minded state of SC where they just made it legal to use it for epileptic seizures in children, with a doctors prescription only. You can't legally use CBD oil in SC for any other medical condition. But it is still unavailable. Go figure. I guess this slams the door shut on an inexpensive natural product that might actually help some pwp and other medical disorders.

Has anyone ordered the product from sootheen that was spoken of in another post? Had a friend look it up and it is pricey, but they mentioned it helped with sleep...my dad has tried everything and still cannot sleep at night. I am very tempted to order some.

There is a Yahoo group called Healing Parkinson's, the lady who started it has used Cannabis Oil on her father who has Parkinson's with positive results. You may want to join that group and interact with her. Her name is Destiny.

No, CBD oil is different from hemp oil. Hemp oil is derived from seeds from the hemp plant, where CBD oil comes from leaves of strains of cannabis that are rich in cannabinoids. Hemp oil is actually obtainable from health food stores and the like, but it does not have the same medicinal qualities as CBD.
There is a good site to check out with info about CBD and PD as well as beneficial uses for a host of other illnesses. Check out projectcbd.org
