Default Remember Me

This wonderful poem was written by Greg Converse after the suicide death of his brother.

Remember Me

Remember me not for the pain I have caused you
or the wawy I died.

Remember to forgive
and to keep me in your prayers
and carry me with you in your heart
as I do you in mine.

Remember not to judge me
or try to understand things that you cannot just now.

Remember me for the life I lived
and the laughs we shared
the love I gave and received from you.

Remember me for the good times I had
for those I brought you
and those memories that bring you smiles.

Remember that we are not the same
not any one of us.
We all are hurt and handle pain in different ways

Remember that mine was different from yours
and that I handled my pain in my own way
that in the end
it all was not possible for me to handle in any way.

Remember that I love you
and that I am with you.
Remember my smile and how you made my life so beautiful.

Remember me not for the pain I have caused you
or the way I died
Remember me for the life I lived.

Most of all
remember if anything only just this
that I am closer, oh, so much closer
than you think I am.

You know I am so glad this got bumped up because I also needed to read it again.
I'm working very hard to get back to where I was before...our Pastor helped me a lot...she reminded me that forgiveness is a process just like grieving is.

She said that I am on this path and making progress. I guess she decided this when I said to her..."When Michael called" Michael didn't call of course, he is dead...his son Nick called with news of the new baby. How is that for Freudien slips! I lost it of course...right there in the restaurant.

for the room and welcome Mark.

(((Alffe))) You are not alone in that faux pas. I'm forever referring to my daughter as Janine.

I know that we'll forever and a day be connected and that gives me peace.
