Just checking in...
It's been one heck of a year....
October 2nd was a particularly BAD day... it was my birthday and the 6th month anniversary of Ashley's death. More tears fell that day than breaths were taken.
I can't remember if I told you or not... Back in July, the littlest in my family, he was 2, fell from the top of a swimming pool slide hittinig his head/face on the concrete and was life-flighted to the nearest childrens hospital...a 45 minute flight. He broke the bone above his eye in 2 places. He looked like he went several rounds with a prize fighter.
In August we found out my Mom had Colon Cancer. Stage 2A. We were scared!!!! She was very sick. We got very lucky!!! They got all of the cancer and it had not spread!!!!
My parents are in California right now. They've been gone for a month + a day. While out there, my Aunt's father died. My aunt was the one that beat the helicopter to the hospital for my niece who passed back in April.
My parents decided to stay a little while longer than planned and help my Aunt & Uncle through this trying time. The saying what goes around comes around...or something like that rings true. I'm so glad my parents were there for them.
My parents are heading home soon.... my dad wants to be home by this weekend. He like's Thanksgiving with his family... Love's watching football with the boys.
As for me.... It's been rough. Been super manic and that was great while it lasted...but have also been majorly depressed. I can't seem to find a level point. Today...I'm on the depressed side.... but oh well, life goes on whether I want it to or not.
P.S..... If i've already told you all of this please forgive me.... my brain is having trouble remembering lately.... I even forget if I took my medicine.
