My name is Candy, and I started having facial pain last September 2009. Had a root canal that was supposed to cure it, but of course, that didn't work. I began 400mg/day of carbamepazine in February and some days later, my heart rate was averaging 80-100bpm - too high - so my neurologist prescribed Baclofen instead. Will start the replacement tonight. Will let you know how it works. I am hoping for the best, as I am very active and need to have my life back.

Hi Candy

I'm also new to the TN game too, i reacted badly to the Carbarmezapine, i was on 800mg when i had my first bout of double vision, then it went away for a day then came back 2 days later with a vengeance with nausea too and i ended up calling an ambulance as i couldn't get up off the bathroom floor after being so violently sick and had the most horrendous pain in my head, to the point i thought (as dramatic as it sounds) i thought i was going to die

It landed me in hospital for a total of 6 days and off work for 2 weeks and still 2 weeks after that i'm still feeling "slightly sore" in my head, but i'm now on a tablet called Gabapentin.

It was just the way my body reacted to the tablet xx

I hope you get on ok with the new ones xxxx Good luck
