Arrow Forum Requests

Hi DocJohn

I have been hearing from a number of people who are seeking a safe haven to be able to discuss their struggles with OCD, and learn about ways to help with it

Could you possibly add a forum for it here?

thanks again for providing this community for us.

While you're adding, could you please consider adding a Vitamin Deficiency board. Having had three years of neurological problems related to a B12 deficiency, I sort of have a soft spot for the topic. Not to mention, my 'home forum' is the Gluten Sensitivity/Celiac Disease forum, the symptoms of which are all about vitamin deficiency.

This was a newer but relatively active forum on OBT, and it kept the vitamin talk out of some the other forums (where it sometimes annoyed people).

Thanks!

Also, perhaps you might want to sticky this thread for a month or so, so that all further requests can just be kept in one spot. This thread has a nice title for that .

I would also very much appreciate a Vitamin Forum on this site.

Thumbs up

Maybe not just vitamins, but supplements in general..... vitamins, minerals, amino acids, herbs, etc
As I have learned with my son dealing with both Tourettes and Crohn's....it is frequently the entire nutritional approach that makes the biggest impact!

That would be stupendous as I have to try to balance all those things as well and would love to join a forum like that.

My Mood:
Default a suggestion, a thought, an idea, whatever you want to call it

I have had this idea rolling around in my head for a while...

My idea is to add a new catagory (right now for catagories we have General, Health Conditions A-L, Health Conditions M-Z).

My suggestion is for a new catagory titled Non-Health Related Forums or Off Topic Forums (or something like that).

In that catagory, I think the current....
Social Chat
Computers and Technology
Sanctuary for Spiritual Support
could all be moved there...

In addition I have ideas for 2 new forums for the non-health related catagory...

1. The Media Room - for discussions about TV, Movies, Radio, Magazines, Books, Sports, Celebrities, etc... (currently, these types of discussions are scattered around the forums, having one forum would allow people to discuss these things with a larger group and would increase the likleyhood of finding other people who want to discuss a particular TV show or movie).

2. Life in General (or something like that) - for discussions about current events (global, national, state, or local) and day to day life (dealing with neighbors, buying your first house, advice on raising kids, how to buy a good mattress, favorite restaurants, etc....)

And if you decide that any political discussions would be allowed, another forum in the Non-Health Related catagory could be Politics.

So that's my idea. I have no clue whether it's a good idea or a bad idea, but I figured I would post it and you can all share feedback/opinions about whether you think it's a good or bad idea.

Liz

Lightbulb yes, please ditto....

Our vitamin forum at OBT was very valuable. The new information shared
there about Vitamin D and the new research on raising it RDA was a good
example.

One title could be Nutrients/supplements

Also, a Medications board would be nice too, since people often have
drug experiences/side effects/questions or data on new drugs to share.

Thanks for the consideration!
