Focus on Blessings

Mark, I feel may of the same frustrations as you do regarding the people at the top of this nation. In fact sometimes I am horrified. Look at the Security scandle, and those in positions of power, who spend fortunes on Hot tubs, meals and pleasure. Here I am denied a blood test, and a shot to prevent shingles. Oh Lord Mark, so many could be helped if there was not greed to infused into our countries top leaders. Now they tell me medicaid will not be solvent in 2016. Just what am I to think about that? I have no clue on how to vote, or just what I am suppose to do but pray? My misdiagnosis was due to poverty. I have no doubt. We are in trouble in a country based on God in the beginning. I vote Mark everytime, but I am lost, I see no hope. I see our world in much the same light. Look what is coming to our shores from Japan, just how are we going to clean that mess up? Tell me what to do to make this world a better place and I will do it. sister ginnie

Mark.....I agree with all you are saying.....Be informed....unfortunately, not too many informed. The majority, if asked, would agree with you; but all too often the miniorty of people, removing the morals and God from this country, are able to keep us down a path that is certainly not God driven.

At this time, the voting is red or blue. These are our choices. How do we vote making it purple? I try to stay informed as possible...I boil at some of the absurd things being said. All I can see, at this point, is voting for the one we hope can help us turn this country into purple. It is sad to see people claiming parks, streets, leaving behind a mess of filth. Is this where our country is headed? Take God out of our Country and this is what we get!!! Sad, sad. The majority often is silent, while the minority is taking over the country making it unrecognizable.

If we who are the so called "silent majority" awakened sufficiently to pull a permit to occupy the mall in DC to camp in a million or so people who are "fed up" to register malcontent, maybe a certain Pennsylvania house and a certain Capitol building would resound with wringing hands of what do we do???

It would be even better if we could peaceably assemble 10 million or 50 million in DC and its surrounds, choking the corridors of government with "we darn well better get the message" for we are awakening, I hope..... how about we get 100 million to drive to DC on buses and cars and trains and such, maybe even walk and see whether a certain senator is correct? Maybe the "Weight of an Upset People" would cause DC to descend into the marsh whence it was constructed...... Interesting that, in fact rather Biblical in proportion. Do you recall what happens to a house build on shifting sands? I do. How about a house of Government built on mud...... hmmmmmm......

I reckon we may be arriving at the Biblical realization of a house built on mud,

Ginnie....so many of my problems are caused by doctors who to do no harm; but are lacking of compassion and too often in need to get to the next patient. I have been fortunate not to be in poverty; not rich; just comfortable with enough to pay for our services. I see no difference in your care or the care I have been given. Incompetence?? Greed?? At times, the doctors are given a lesser amount for services; often make up for it by seeing as many patients as possible.

Unfortunately, this looks like what the future holds for all of us. Obama wants to spread it all around so we will all be in the same position. Thereby, as well, causing a lack of qualified doctors to not spend a fortune for medical schooling.

I fear for our children and our children's children. What will be left for them???

The next lyrical line from the song. We MUST WRITE IN candidates whom we trust and are capable. We are not limited by what the State, or Two Parties present to us. Think of Iran, where The Church, and the State FORCED an election to result in supposed re-election of Ahmadinejad [he looks like Gilligan of Gilligan's Island if you look closely].

We live in a place where elections can be swayed by WRITE IN ballots if the electorate will swell with indignation at the pathetic two party mudslinging which occurs.

Think of it in basics. I walk down a grocery aisle, and see products. Each proclaims itself. If any EVER cast aspersion against another I never buy it again. Why not apply THE SAME EXACT PROCESS TO POLITICS? Candidates at one time promoted candidate blessings, benefits and agendas. Now it is all "don't look at me, see the mud I have regarding the other."

I am sick to death of the garbage spewed in any political campaign, so I write in. What would happen if Write In resulted in election of a Write In President, a Write In Congress.......? Life might be restored to the "silent majority" who are fed up with a minority ballot count ruling the nation. Will our country's electorate awaken?

Might send a message to Washington.

Unfortunately, I am ashamed to admit; but I must; I am part of the silent majority. I do a lot of talk about what is happening to our country, the childlike mud slinging, etc., but I don't go out and do anything about it.

Just concerned if there are many different Write Ins; the result will still be either red or blue. But, one must do what he or she feels would bring about the needed change. I can only lean toward one that shares many of my values. Going back to a time when candidates promoted blessings, benefits and agendas would make the decision much easier.

Even our $$$ say "In God We Trust". Trust in God I must. I do pray that America will return to its Christian Values.

Receiving news of the gout from my doc, compassion driven, treatment focused, caring full all of the while;
Realizing the right arm is not good, but the left is healthy and quite a blessing indeed;
Knowing God watches over our grandson who is not yet birthed into this life and really quite healthy;
Helping dear friend Ray to hear "Jesus wept" as our verse of focus today as a recognition of the humanity felt by the Son in his loss of friend Lazarus to death;
Helping Ray also to laugh today when we shared a comical story;
Knowing my friend enjoys my visits, though brief given the full context of time;
Feeling the spirit of God with me this day in a way too difficult to enunciate;
Being able to work to earn the money, not the riches known when I claimed credit, but ENOUGH as God promised to feed our family and shelter us under a home of grace;
Feeling loved, then turning about to share with others whom I may not know at all such love as God dispenses freely to all who will hear;

When I went to this ankle specialist, I had no insurance. he did xrays. didn't show this problem. He kept me in pain 8 years with torn ligiaments, now cronic and needing to be replaced. BIG surgery. he crippled me 8 years with my walking, by not doing the one test to reveal where my pain was, and the truth about why I hurt. So pain doc. only treated for lesser problem too. In fact the problem he said I had, didn't exist at all. It was far worse.
If this is where our health system is going, I am terrified for future generations. Not just what happened to me, but for all that follow me in these situations of being poor. I wasn't always poor Gerry. The gov. made me spend all that two generations worked for as I had no health insurance from pre-existing conditions. So they took all money away, before I received any benefit at all. Now I can't pay for taxes or even keep my home. Is this the price we pay for working all our lives, to loose home because you get sick? Oh Gerry, I am not a happy camper about any of it. I am glad I am older, as I sure want to go to heaven. with all the mud slinging, who is there to vote for at all.? I would write in a canadate if I knew they existed. with no names in the papers, or on TV, where to you find out about the good folks that are trying to do good for the country. the TV and papers just have Mud over everyone and every idea. ginnie

Ginnie, just meant whether I had insurance or not, I was not properly cared for, mesh inside me, a surgery that would not have been necessary if when the other problem was taken care of a little extra at that time would have saved a second surgery; lower bowel coming down. Did not have to be. The place in Fla. took thousands of dollars (not covered by insurance; paid out of pocket) they just about destroyed my spine. As I mentioned previously; I am not in poverty, not rich; but comfortable and what's happened to you though different areas of the bodies; was done to me and I could pay for it and I did. Now I am really paying the price with awful pain.

As far as "write ins", who is the person?????? That's why, for me, I have to look who comes closest to my values. One, who voted a few year ago; should a baby (not a fetus) survive late term abortion (6,7,8,9 months) ; that baby should be put on a table and left to die. Not my values at all. Another term without concerns about re-election would take us to only God know where.

I do agree, heaven sounds like a wonderful place to be. Hope and pray I get there. Can't be too soon.
