Default Grim Reaper checks in. RIP STeve Jobs

I was shocked to hear Steve Jobs the CEO of Apple died of pancreatic cancer today. What a brilliant man, and a brilliant mind.

RIP Steve, you made the world a better place.

He had looked so frail for so long, and yet it felt unexpected. May God comfort his loved ones tonight.

What a loss to the world. He was a genius in so many ways. Think of the ways he contributed to so many aspects of society in regard to technology, business, marketing and culture. We can only hope to learn from his legacy, and that his company will honor his memory by maintaining the integrity and high quality standards that he represented.

Thanks for posting. This one is hitting me HARD!!!

I am a total Apple Fanboy. I have a Mac, iPhone 4, Apple TV, Time Capsule, my wife has all the same plus an iPad.

My first computer was an Apple IIe, that was in 1982 when my dad brought me to the Apple store to get our first "Fancy calculator". It was even pre- mouse or internal hard drive, the 5 inch floppy disks.

I appreciate this post and please excuse me as I mourn, I feel like I've lost a friend. Be back soon.

I know he had cancer. But I'm 56 too, this is hitting hard. Making a bucket list - has to be wheelchair accessible!

It is a sad day. I may be dating myself but I learned how to use a pc on the apple. I remember in school being so excited to be able to play games on it and printing phony bus passes. I think that inspired them to change our bus passes. I left one on the printer.

I must be really old, learned Computers on the IBM 360 with punchcards. First Personal: Trash 80 III. Now have Core i5 with almost all the Bells and Whistles.

But I remember the First Personal: Altair 88, no Keyboard, just 8 switches to program.

Used to be able to Program Basic, FORTRAN and COBOL. No more

Me too, when I worked at the University. We had a whole computer floor to hold it all..

Now, thanks to people like Steve, it can all fit on one tiny little iphone.
