Default Does anyone know the name of this movie?

Harry Dean Stanton starred in it & it was about 4 children trying to stay together after their parents died (mother first & then their father). They live in the hills of West Virginia or Tennessee & they collected plants to sell & kept their fathers death a secret for months. Staton played the boyfriend of the oldest girl. I've seen it a couple of times, but I can't remember the name. I also did a search for movies Stanton played in, on netflix, but nothin came up even tho I am 100% possitive he played in the movie. Thanks for any help.

No problem.

It actually rang a bell. Mainly because Harry Dean Stanton was associated with Sam Peckinpah.

Anyway, long story short, in the end I figured it may have been based on a book, so looked for books and there was the book and it led me to the movie you wanted.

Just an aside, in some of his movies he was called Dean Stanton, not Harry Dean Stanton.

take care there.
