Default Are you ready for some GOOD news?

I think we could all use it so I have a good report to share. Saw 2nd pain mgmt. dr. and said my CT on my hips looks fine and he doubts I have autoimmune disease

He will continue to treat my shoulder pain, which he believes is secondary to fall/break I had in 2006.

He believes the ongoing pain in my hips is actually pain coming from my lower back so is sending me back to dr. who implanted my SCS's. He believes the placement of one of the battery packs, in particular, may be causing increased pain in the area as it is close to where I had the fusion years ago. Either that or he feels it's a mechanical problem or soft tissue problem.

So, it's back to pain dr. #1, but with good news...no autoimmune disease

Thanks Rae for another goofy cartoon

I go see my rheumatologist next week to make sure that nothing is being overlooked. Taking disks of the CT scans I had done for him to review as I've come to find that those who read said scans are not created equal. I just hope he doesn't do the "let's see if we can turn you into a pretzel" testing as it really gets me hurting

I'll be sure to tell him no pretzel making with my body! My husband and I are hoping to go on a much needed vacation (will have plenty of pain meds. on hand, thank you very much), so don't need him ruining this time of de-stressing we both need so much.

Actually one of the jobs my husband is looking into is located in Golden. Some national lab that's out there. Would we be "nabrs"?

I did live in Denver back in '86 for a while, while working with YWAM and remember the beautiful mountains. Also remember the days they were pleading with folks to ride the bus and not drive due to smog

Heart Nrel

Depending upon politics [having just read a scare your socks off missive about Pelosi care and what it means to folks over 75 years of age- like my parents], the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, which used to be easily viewable from our bedroom when we lived in Golden, has doubled in size structurally in the past two years. My former assistant works there now and is doing well. My wife and I know a couple of scientists who work there.

A mountain now separates our home view from NREL as our address is no longer Golden, but we attend church there still. So...... we would be able to have dinner and visit in person on occassion IF you all moved here and were willing to connect!! We would be in for it in a heartbeat. Cool thing is we used to look north toward Longs Peak, now we look south toward Pikes Peak and west toward Mount Evans. Plus this place has room for weary travellers to stay a bit at 125% of the size of the home we had in Golden. God has indeed blessed us in this recent move and in so many other ways.

Follow Horace Greeley and Go West!
Come to this land of opportunity if, as, and when God leads,
Yup,
