Default lack of support from doctors

Hi I have been diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy 8 years after being told i had carpal tunnel syndrome! Now two years down the line symptoms are getting worse with tightness in throat nerve problems in face lack of sleep feeling drunk and spasms in my feet day and night. I have been back to the doctors who said I am waiting for referral back to neurologist, been waiting two months so far. I feel tired all the time and have tried several drugs that dont work or side affects are too bad to continue use.
I am getting more and more frustrated as i have no answers. I am starting to feel low with it now and am looking for advice from anyone who has gone through this. The symptoms I am experiencing are very similar to MS. I can no longer walk fast as my legs spasm go very tight and heavy and climbing stairs or slight hills is not easy. I realise that diagnosis of ms takes years and it could be something else but i seem to have no support from my doctors at all. I am presently taking thyroxine duloxetine naproxen and amytriptaline.

Smile Hello hunibuni!

Welcome to NT !

I'm SO sorry for what you've been through and the doctors giving you the runaround.
PN can be a hard case to pin down, that's for sure. I hope you have visited the Peripheral Neuropathy forum. It is loaded with information and many people there to offer support. There's a special section at the top of that forum called 'PN, tips, supplements, etc'. I highly recommend reading thru that. The more you know about this frustrating condition, the better. There are ways to combat it, so don't lose hope.
To be honest, I've learned much more right here at NT than from all my doctors combined.

It's great to have you here! Make yourself at home!

Caring,
Rae
