I now know why my husband hated shirts without pockets. I have sent for a new shirt jacket with two patch pockets, with buttons. I have to have this because I tend to put the operational things in my slash pocket jacket, and they fall out and get lost. I need the cell phone out of my purse and in that pocket, or I won't get to a call in time. I need the keys there, or I will go into a public frustration fit trying to dig the keys out of my purse. I also now put my car keys on a bungy wrist apparatus so I can carry them that way, too. I lose things very easily, due to eye or brain misfocus, so safe pockets have become important. I wish Irv were here so I could tell him he was right.

I wish my Dad were here so I could be more understanding of him and his requests. I'd get impatient when he'd want to do something a certain way......not to his face but I felt impatient.....and now I know exactly why he was like this. I feel the same way now! I did his laundry and he'd always asked me not to button the top button when I hung up his shirts. I told him they'd fall off the hanger if I didn't. He said well, let's just fold them. He had such a hard time with buttons because his fingers were numb. Just like mine are now! Now I know how he felt. Serves me right.................
