Hi Di, I hope you made it through the 8th okay. We have one rough week, as Andrea died the day of the fire, Jan 18, and then her birthday is only six days later. on the 24th. Th e days seem to go by so quickly in a way, slowly in another way. Next January, she would have been 30.

How are your new eating/drinking goals working out now, more than a week later . Believe it or not, our entire household has gone vegetarian/vegan since early in April. It's been easier that you think, really, and we never run out of recipes for now dinner dishes! I think I'll take a few minutes to post a new thread about it

Take care, glad you're sleeping better!

I know Jacquie, Time in a bottle...
When I dwell, I get so sad.

doing well, losing inches if not weight anyway. I don't own a scale, so I have a pair of shorts I am hoping for by the time of our cruise in Sept.
Have you heard of Chia seeds? I am finding them to prehaps be part of my sleeping well at night, as more energy during the day, more routine I think, not napping. The last two days I did not have the Chia, and I napped at noon, now awake at 5 AM. Will not skip a day again and see if that is it. The fatigue from thyroid beats me up.

Next is more physical activity. Some days with home cyber schooling KT, and my work, I can sit with the lap top for 8 hrs straight. Then I get on and do some emails, games, and read...

Have to let Mrs D know no lax affect. Guess that is because the thyroid keeps me so bound.

So glad to see you post, I think of you often and watch the FB for new news or photos.

THe challenge, my thyroid and hormonal. My test came back that it is out of control. The dose of synthroid was increased, and now to get some energy.

I was watching Dr. Oz and saw some things I could do. He had a Day starting energy drink: 2 oz tomatoe juice, 1/2 tsp of horseradish, dab of hot sauce, and lemon slice.

Then there was a drink to give energy and make you feel full. Chia seeds. I found them in the natural food section of our Wegman's. Mix 9 pts water to 1 of seeds, I used a tblsp. It turns slight gel like, kind of tapico for the seeds, and bit of Blue Agave. I gave it few drops of lemon.
It really had no taste as opposed to tasting bad or sweet. THe seeds can go on salad, cereal, or food to eat. A Mayan thing for hunters to have energy.

THen I ordered the unroasted green coffee bean extract. 800 mg a day in a capsul. He had two woman, one shaped like me that did nothing to her diet, no exersize just took the pills and she lost 7lbs in one week. It does not have side effects, but I want to read more to see about caffine.

A few other things, I got a grape penergy powder from the nutrician shop along with a cleanse pills. The tblsp of powder to 12oz water. It has dandilion in so maybe I can get off the water pills. My bp is okay per se, but I am holding soooo much fluid.

While I was in the grocery store, I picked up pears I like, organic orange jucie, V8 instead of the tomato juice with low sodium, V8 fruit drinks, and fruit water zero.
I did not buy the engery powder at the shop, instead I got one that was Arnold Palmer, I can't recall the ingrediant, but it also had the dandilion in it. Half the size and 1/3 the cost.

Going to try and use this as the energy booste during the day at mid afternoon. I did not have breakfast yet, but instead of the eggs and toast fried, I have a boild egg, whole grain bread, and will make a sandwhich on one slice and have the pear.

For a snack, I got Grahm crackers and natural peanut butter, natural popcorn, and organic orange juice.

Then a decent supper, maybe this weekend, salad with chicken, and a homemade soup to get through.

I think I will look up the one I had for cabbage soup. Lots of veggies in it. Lean burger on lettuce and tomato for Sunday with a side of something to think up.
That will get me through to Monday.

Praying I have more energy.....need to declutter, tear up a carpet in the hall damaged by cats and carpet shampoo'er. I brought De's cats up, and horrific marking at my bedroom door.

The town clean up with a dumpster is the next week, so this week to get rid of old crap, and reclaim my downstairs that has been more storage then family room.

Today is laundry, tomorrow the clutter on counters and end tables.
Wish me luck.

Hello DiMarie, I also saw the Dr Oz show you were referring to and as well I am interested in the pure green bean coffee extract. Can you please tell me if you feel they are working (and are they a large capsule, I do have some difficulty swallowing lg pills) I really need to lose 25lbs and do not want to waste more money on another product. I do have a treadmill, but some days my pain level is high then I don't walk, I have been trying to eat healthier meals as well but not losing inches or weight(depressing) any advice/tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance,
Bunz

Mari, I found mine at Wegman's I bet Walmart superstores would have them too. They have the same ones on Amazon. THey were in the natural food section, there were other seeds there too. I think they were $4.50 a bag. Using 1 tbls with 9 tbls water makes lite watery tapioca affect. Very tiny, use on a salad or yogurt too, almost anyfood. THey are the size of celery seed.
Good energy, and I am sleeping much better. Not napping during the day, has me in a sleep pattern for the first time in YEARS..if not over a decade.

Hi Bunz
I have only taking them three days. The difference I feel is the hunger or snack control. THat impulse to pick up a whole meal is gone. I eat lighter, things like V8 fruit juice lite, home made snack crackers of graham and natural peanut butter, also the lite progresso soups; love the cream tomato and basil 180 cal. I picked up pears that I like, and mozerella sticks. Cut out all sweets, only 1 slice whole grain bread.

I can let you know in a week, but something is working. I have lost an entire pants size since I started with the Chia seeds/blue agure syrup, squeeze of lemon. I start my day with small glass of V8 low sodium, 1/2 tsp of horseradish, dash of lemon.

I had not the oppertunity to work out on my tredmill, but try to walk from a further parking place at stores, and walk between my son's house and mine instead of the car which is only 300 ft away. If I take the steps, I go down and right back up and down again. LIke you say the pain level.

The PT for the walking in theraputic pool help and they have a monthly program less then $18 for the entire facility. Taking the impact of the weight for boyance, also the warmth of the water. After doing laps, I would hang on a noodle under the arms in the 6ft water to let the spine come down from gravity. Fibro is much better when the hot tub or threaputic pool is available.

I was buying 1X in womens shorts and 2X for tops, now XL bottoms in the reg section and 1 x top. But I am huge chested.

The Chia seeds.
I did notice the belly fat falling off. I think this may be burning what the cortizol had been making my body store.

Green coffee beans. maybe $26 or $29
The brand I got off Amazon was MAX, and 800 as he said to take. It is a capsul, not small, but I had no trouble. The first one felt a little tight, but I drank more water the next time and no issues. It is not as big as a Valtrex if you ever saw one for cold sores or shingles.

Hello DiMarie, just wanted to check in on how you are doing. I went to the health store twice trying to get the pure green bean coffee extract and both times they were sold out ug! I left with giving them a deposit, my phn# and name and asked them to call once in. I don't think I can handle the drink with horseradish, but I start my day with lemon water and then add limes and oranges and any other fruit in my fridge and that's my drink all day. Will also try and find the chia seeds for my salads. Hope this message finds you doing well! Bunz

HiBunz,
Hope they help. I talked to a gal that lost 23 lbs recently and she did a protein count. For her weight and height having 70 gm of protein a day burnt energy and she lost the weight.

I am getting sick of so much fruit, so going to read about the protein this weekend. I think she had the protein powder drink; use a scoop to 12 oz water.

The horseradish did not have much spice at 1/2 tsp, and I like it, but so tired of V8. I bought the V8 fruit blaster banana something. Eating salads, using the Chia seeds with water.

Still taking the green coffee. Hope yours comes in soon. I ordered off Amazon. You need the 800 mg a day to work. Take with a glass of water.
I also am taking the Omega 3's as gummy's from Wegmans.

Today I cheated, out on the road and dd and I split a Whopper meal. Salad when we got home. Having some Earl Gray and going to bed.
I have not done much walking, except down to son's and at work.
Wish I had a scale, but the capri's are gettig lose. They were toooo tight, now I have room.
Not as short breathed either. Lots to go though!

Hello DiMarie, been thinking of you and wondered how you are doing, as well my obvious question is how are the green bean coffee extract working? Unfortunately my car has been giving me major problems and have been unable to get to town ug, but I am still trying to keep up with my walking and exercise and have lost about 5lbs, but still have a few more lbs that need to go. Hopefully your regime is working and you are having good success!
