Thanks everyone! I would have said that earlier but I have been fighting with a very ferocious adversary...
I had the flu.
No, I didn't have a flu shot this year. I cancelled the appointment because I didn't want the shot. I never get the flu and I am rarely ill and I don't need no stinkin' shot...until I did.
It laid me out and left me there with a bucket, ice chips and 5 days in bed. My head hurt, my muscles ached, my ears and throat hurt, I ran fever after fever followed by the cold sweats. I finally got up and ate a half a piece of toast and a half a cup of tea and went straight back to bed, until my boss called me and told me if I didn't come back to work that night I needed a Dr. note.
So I got up and went to work. I made it two days. I've been out now for 4 days. My freaking HAIR hurts! I have muscle aches that will not quit. I cannot feel my skin in some areas and my right foot has decided the feeling in the bottom of it isn't necessary to walking.
Is this age? Do I really have to go to the doctor? Will it clear out and leave me be? Is this normal? They can't cure flu so WTH can they do for me except tell me rest, acetaminophen and liquids and collect their bundle of cash???
Stay tuned! I may have to go see that @#$%^ doctor yet. I HATE co-pays!
