Default Jack Osbourne DX with MS

Hi everyone,

I seen a blurb on People.com about Jack just being dx with MS.
Feel for him, he seems scared and angry.. frustrated.. who wouldn't be?

He has a close family, and they have money to seek out treatments, and the best MDs. it will be interesting to see if he steps up and helps fund raise or allows himself to be a public face like Michael J. Fox for Parkinson.

Im so sorry that anyone got this diagnosis. I know his momma will pull him in close.

Since he is a reality tv star already, maybe (fingers crossed!) he'll do a show about it.

Sorry to hear about the diagnosis, Jack.

Another celebrity poster child for MS...any PR is good PR.

Still prayers for Jack...he has lost a ton of weight since being on their reality show. Sadly his GF just brought home their new baby...John Kennedy was right-life is NOT fair...

Apparently he had been feeling some numbing and tingling sensations and then one morning he woke up to 60% visioning one of his eyes. Whenever a celebrity is diagnosed, We all hope it will bring more attention to the disease. Let's just keep that hope alive with this diagnosis and pray for him to not be very serious. One news report also said he's had some serious symptoms.

It's a bit disconcerting to read all the headlines: devastating diagnosis, incurable, shocking, unpredictable, progressive, etc.

I mean, I KNEW all that, of course, but it's kind of like knowing you're old and then walking by a mirror somewhere and KNOWING you're old.

The media sensationalizes it so much. I mean, I know it's not a diagnosis anyone wants. But it seems like they give ordinary people so little credit for being able to recognize and understand that any medical problem is scary and unpredictable especially right at first.

I feel for Jack and the family but the media acts like just because the person is a celebrity of some sort that they should be exempt from any kind of issue. My hope is that Jack will educate himself on MS and share his experience with all of us "common folk" who deal with the same difficulties as he does....just without all the la-de-dah of the media.

My heart and prayers go out for Jack and all other MS newbies, who are facing this for the first time.

This is so true. Especially the knowing you're old and then walking by a mirror somewhere and KNOWING you're old. And yes in my case too the devastating diagnosis, incurable, shocking, unpredictable, progressive, etc. I can relate.

Maybe Jack is already here under a pseudo name or just lurking. If either scenario is true, no one should expect him to be a celebrity spokesperson. Everyone has their own way of dealing with the dx.
