My hubbys best friend is flying in from IN to be with us during the parading weekend,...we are actually going to try to go to new orleans for a parade on sunday, Baccus in new orleansne of the largest parades: http://www.kreweofbacchus.org/html/index.htm

The unniversity is closed for mardi gras...Monday thru wednesday...even the postal service doesn't provide mail on mardi gras "fat Tuesday" before lent begins on wednesday.
It is a hoot down here.

This sounds like fun.
I was in New Orleans once. It was during the week before the Sugar Bowl. I'm glad that I saw the city before it was hit by disaster.
No other city in the world comes close I am sure.
