Default About Amantadine...

I take 3 Amantadine a day and apart from the purple blotches over my legs that it causes I was wondering if I can blame ankle pain on this drug?
It's more intense as the day wears on and appears only if I go from sitting to standing then walking (in both ankles.)
I don't appear to have any ankle oedema and apart from the above complaints Amantadine (Symmetryl) works well for me as an anti parkinson drug.
Thankyou,
Lee

Default Ankle pain

I was also taking amantadine 3x daily with the same results as you; however, the edema was the only side effect I had. I had been taking it for several years, and since adding Azilect, I have stopped the amantadine. I haven't heard of anyone else complaining of ankle pain.
