Hi Cazzie,
myoclonic jerks happen when the area of the brain known as the "motor part" has to many neurons firing causing a person to jerk their body and not be able to control it. I often have had this happen to me when I first wake up in the morning. Cut back on the carbs, protein, and caffeine and this should help you. Here's wishing you well and May God Bless You!
