Default kevin kirby passes

Kevin Brent Kirby died from complications of Parkinson’s Disease on October 15, 2008. He was born in Denver Colorado on October 23, 1947.

Kevin was a Navy ROTC graduate from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1969 with a degree in Finance. He spent 8 years in the Navy where he attained the rank of Lieutenant, finishing his career with the Navy at the Pentagon.

After the Navy, he went to work for Safeco Insurance, where he worked for 27 years until he retired in 2004 as Vice President of Safeco Surety over the Eastern markets. He worked in Southern California for a time and it was there he met his wife Gayle, and her family.

Kevin and Gayle moved to Dallas in 1989. Eight years later they were transferred to Chicago until Parkinson’s Disease forced Kevin to retire. They returned to Plano in 2004, where he spent his remaining years.

Kevin is survived by his wife Gayle, Plano Texas, step daughter Soraya Parvin, step son Sohrob Parvin, both of Dallas Texas and sister Marcia Lee Reed, Aurora Co.

Kevin has willed his body to Parkinson’s research at UT Southwestern. A celebration wake will be held at the family home on October 25th from 2:00 until 5:00 pm. No sad faces will be allowed.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dallas Area Parkinsonism Society, 6370 LBJ Freeway. Suite 176, Dallas TX, 75240-6400.

Gayle..My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family..I have missed Kevin's thoughts and advice here on the forum..You folks here at NT and BT really helped me through the shock of my dx 4 years ago, and Kevin was always there to help with his contributions, and for that I owe a debt of gratitude..May God be by your side during this sad time
