Default wheelchair..

Well I was reading Mark's post and it reminded me to ask a question..

I have an electric wheelchair that I no longer use. It was donated to me out of niceness, all expenses paid. Since I no longer use it, I hate that it's not being used and I want to donate it to someone else that needs it, someone that really needs it. Not to a company that will charge someone for it.

Do any of you know what to do with it or a good company I could go through?

Thanks in advance.
Jen

jen-
we have a classifieds section just for such items. Unless you have found a home for it already.

Before you do anything we'll talk first. I know Allen has been needing one real bad. I am just not sure where he lives here in the states. He has been without transportation for a while unless things have changed. We'll find out. Somone will know. We'll keep this thread at the top. Chin Up!!!!

Mark, I know. I'd LOVE to get it to Allen. I'm not sure how to do that and how much it would cost, but that's the ideal home for it.

I sent Allen a email explaining everything. I hope he gets it quick. You know you can send items large or small by bus across country for little money. I remember sending a antique bedroom dresser from Montana to Maine about 8 years ago and I only paid $150.00 for it. And that included insurance. Just a thought. But God will figure out a way if it is meant to be I am sure. Plus who could appreciate more than Allen. I know I would be. Dang ya got an extra? Chin Up!!!

Mark

Sunshine if you get in touch with Allen and do send the wheelchair to him, if you get the amount of what the shipping cost will be, I'll pitch in to help with the cost.

Thanks for doing such a great thing and helping someone else out that needs it. People like you are what makes the world go around..

If someone finds a way to get the chair to California ,I would be happy to take care of the costs .
Alternatively if Allen can find a cheaper one on Craigs list than it would cost to ship (sometimes these things are horribly expensive to ship)I would be happy to make up the difference up to the cost of shipping.

I have RSD in my feet and so far it is not as bad as some of yours.

I have just found out I need a uni compartment knee replacemnent surgery.
I am still really young and I love high heels.I have always had great legs

I know what my future looks like and it looks like a chair so I would like to help in any way I can
Thanks Sunshine and Mark for drawing my attention to this thread.

Happy Holidays
GnP

Please
PM me to arrange any details when you hear from Allen .
I am already in Ca.

Thank you for thinking of me, I will never forget you all ever!
Soo sorry I havent been able to post, I am not out of the woods yet and will be scarce still darn it. The right shoulder is in a flare that wont quit. It feels like I keep re-injuring it everyday. Plus it looks like Im gonna have a time finding a new doctor

The one I saw today didnt even know what RSD was, and I had to spell the words for him. So I gotta keep looking =( .

I took that advice and got a few refills so I bought a little time, now just need to get lucky with doctors. I talked to Vic yesterday, he told me to tell everyone HI!!! He is doing ok, he lost a little weight but other than that he is hangin in there. ok, im done for, but I will be back!

Thank you all soooo much!!!
Love all of ya!
