Smile ... a light from within

"People are like stained glass windows.
They glow and sparkle when it's sunny and bright;
but when the sun goes down
their true beauty is revealed
only if there is a light from within."

I would give credit to the author if I knew who wrote this. I read it on a poster at school and I wanted to share it.

It's beautiful Scrabble and soooo true. Thanks for sharing it. It brings a smile to my face to think that it's a poster in a school.

I agree, Scrabble: That is beautiful . It's by thanatologist Elisabeth Kübler-Ross. No, I didn't know that off the top of my head; I just did a peeky-boo via google.com .

That is beautiful ((Scrabbly)).

Did you see the link Kathy provided in a different forum here? It's amazing.

It is very beautiful and very thought-provoking, ((((((Scrabble)))))).

I met Elisabeth Kübler-Ross once (over 20 years ago). She attended a combination workshop/memorial 'thingy' for people who had lost family members while in our local visiting nurse/hospice during the year prior. I had my Mom moved from out of state into the local hospice.

It was because of her training and her beliefs that my Mom had such a 'good' death.

Elisabeth Kübler-Ross was an incredible human being -- it doesn't surprise me that she would say something so profound.

Thanks for sharing. HUGS for the room
