Default January is another year and hopefully a year of SUCCESS for us! :)

I have to admitt to losing ALL MY RESOLVE for a healthy body and healthy nutrition. Honestly thought I had concered my eating problems. NOPE, they have hit me in the face, or should I say in the mind, belly, and butt again!

I am back eating totally out of control.

Need to start over and redicate life and mind to eating properly, so that the weight can come off. To get back the old knowing what I am doing, is good and looking better, will be a reward for hard work!

Anyone interested in joining me to start over in the NEW YEAR, to have a new resolve to try again?

Maybe if not wanting to share on the forum, we can e-mail privately or PM here. I am looking for a serious comittment and not looking for a lot of chating fun, or laughing about weight. As for me I am needing a parter or partners to join together and support each other. The more people we have, the nicer for each of us to share our successes.

If you're interested answer here, or on a PM, if you had rather. Share your ideas of what of a serious weight loss thread ought to be please.
HUGS, Gaye/froggie

I'll give it my best shot. I don't like this fat body I am carrying around. I'm not waiting till the first of the year tho! I'll only have more to lose if I do. Starting today its treadmill here I come.We have to much ice to walk outside and more coming tonight. Poor Alffe, has it worse than I do, but hey ice is bad enough. Weatherman says we might have snow for Christmas. I can hardly wait!

Hi there Gaye!!! I did not see this thread untill you mentioned it in another one.
Please count me in!! My diabetes is out of control and I need to start to follow a diabetic diet.
I think it would be wonderful to check in with others who are serious aout it. I need to lose for health reaons now...not just bacause I want to look good. I have just quit smoking on Saturday and the last thing I want is to gain a bunch of weight. I am sick right now..some sort of respitory tract infection? I am on my 2nd round of antibiotics...I am hoping to feel better soon and get into some sort of exercise to compliment my weight loss.
Thank you Gaye for reaching out to everyone...we need each other to do this...so I will pop in tomorrow morning and post my weight on this thread as I am comfortable with sharing it here. Hugs

Looking forward to it.....I must remember to take my measurements!! I never do and I think that even if the scale is not coming down...my measurements going down will help me hang in there! I am excited!!!
I am thinking of checking out some of Melodys sprouts...she seems to make putting a meal together fun!! That is a big thing for me...I need to keep my lunches and dinners interesting..but not too complicating..or expensive.....breakfasts I usually stick to oatmeal..my blood sugars seem to find it OK.
I am going to get some diet jello. It is sweet and when I have a sweet craving it satisfies me. That is a big word for me..."satisfying". I need to feel satisfied with each meal or else I munch and munch.
I saw Valerie Bertinelli on a commercial stating that this year she woke up and was not thinking about her weight....I would love to not be a slave to my weight loss concerns...to feel good about myself...not feel guilty, self conscious, flustered and all the other negative emotions that go with it...I would love to wake up and genuinely not be thinking about my weight or what I will or will not eat....to not worry about if my belly is hanging over these jeans. She made me realize that I waste alot of emotional space on it...I would mucch rather use the space for something else. I do not want to be typing a post similar to this next year at this time. I repeat "I am not a smoker" and "I do not want to be a smoke" over and over to get thru my smoke cravings...there must be a way to change that over to suit food cravings...a positive affirmation...maybe "I am a healthy eater" or "This is the only body I will ever have so I am choosing to put only healthy things into it" or "I am making changes to my eating behaviours"....notice all the "I ams"....sorry for rambling Gaye. I welcome any ideas that you or anyone else have!

Well I plan to make an appt with my dr to get in for weight loss consult & a few PT sessions, then I can keep using their gym for $25 a month.
Now that gas prices are down it won't be so costly to drive the 8 miles back and forth. I usually run errands and get groceries in the area so I could do those after exercising.

since they got my blood panel results - they will most likely press me to take a cholesterol med
but if I suggest we work on the weight first and see if any improvement in my #'s????.

so that's my plan, eigther that, or buy an elliptical or treadmill for here - but it's to easy to ignore it and we just don't have room for one.

If I go to the drs gym/PT place I'll feel like I have to get my moneys worth.
