Hi All! Day...I NEVER go by my doc's scales...I know that we hear sometimes that we should but never to this day have I felt that my docs scales have given me an accurate reading! I know by my scales and clothes if I lost weight....I can be down 5 real pounds...walk in there feeling good and be down 1 pound...it really knocks me down....I do not go by them anymore at all ever!!!! I do admit that I can be compulsive with the scale but for me....when I am on track it helps alot....I push harder but accept that I will not always see a drop.
Today I did finally weigh myself...I am up 2 pounds. I am not suprised though. Since I quit smoking I have munching more than I should and was so sick throughout the last month and a half. I am starting to feel better howevr I am still very fatigued and have a hard time finding motivation to do anything let alone exercising...I will get there...I will just keep dredging the road to a healthy, happy new me!!! Keep moving everyone!!

I need to correct myself on my last post....
I am not up 2 pounds....I am only up 1 pound!!! This is a case where 2 is NOT better than 1....

Welp, I got on the doc's scales today. I was 172. When I started I was going up and down between 172 and 175.
It's like I've done nothing. grrrrrrrrrrrr

I don't get it. Counting calories and exercising has always worked in the past. Just as long and I stuck with 1200 calories and exercised moderately, I would lose steadily.

Now, Nothing!!!
I am dumbfounded. Why am I not losing?
Before when I would do this, I would have lost 10 lbs by now.

GRRRRR I'm so ticked.

DAY
Day, call your Dr's office and ask them when the last time they had their scales proffesionally calibrated.

If it's been a long time and it's a busy office, it will be off.

No scale can handle people getting and offf all day. Different weights. Big differences in weight and not get off.

We have had our at the gym get off by over 10lbs in less than 6 months and they are used less than a Dr's scale.

Your body may also be adjusting to the change in diet and exercise. Thinks you are starving it.

On an average, what do you think you calorie intake was BEFORE cutting back?

I'm beginning to think my scales are possessed. I knew the battery needed changed, but it would still weigh you.
Last night I bought a new battery. Then got on the scale. Fully clothed it was saying 176, then 174. GRRRR.

This morning I got on it and it said 169.5 So if it's right, then I've lost 6 lbs. since Christmas. That I can handle.

My clothes don't seem to be any looser.

My calorie intake before I started counting was anywhere from 1200-3000 depending on the day(I'm sure) I was eating what I wanted, when I wanted.
Snack cakes were in the house and I was being too lazy to actually fix myself something to eat. So I would just grab whatever was easiest.

Exercise right now is on hold. My feet hurt just to walk. Not sure exactly what I did to them. Maybe they are just protesting the whole exercise thing.
Sad thing is, I feel great after I've walked. Hopefully the pain will let up soon and I can start walking again.

I'm sticking with this. Even if it is driving me nuts. My motivation seems tied to results. lol

Day, there are different things that can effect your feet and knees when using a treadmill

Do you wear supportive shoes durig the day or before exercise? Which means, are you wearing slippers or shoes with little or no arch support? Are you changing shoes? Using good walking shoes?

When sitting at the computer are your feet flat on the floor? Are our feet bent? Many will put their feet on the legs part above the wheels when sitting in a swivel chair.

This is like wearing heals.

Do you warm up and stretch?
