Default Looks like I'll be having a robotic assisted myomectomy in August (uterine fibroids)

While this was not my first choice, the procedure I *really* wanted (MR Focused Ultrasound) is still deemed experimental by the insurance company so they don't have to pay for it.

I'll be having surgery on at least two fibroids on August 5. One is roughly 12 cm and the other around 5 cm. It's actually fascinating at how far medicine has come. With this surgery, the doctor sits at a console about 10 feet away from the patient and he controls the robotic arms with hand and feet controls in order to perform the surgery. Very sci fi.

If anyone has happened to have this procedure I'd love to hear your experiences.
